Early Candidates for Mr. Basketball

Josh Seidel for North Laurel is an extreme longshot but puts up some great numbers and is really a lot of fun to watch, he reminds you of a high school version of Larry Legend.

I think CJ Penny should be mentioned in this group as well. Could make a case this week at the King of the Bluegrass.

IMO he is not even one of the top 3 players in his "mediocre" region.

:laugh::laugh::fire:

Vee Sanford puts up good numbers for his postion and has cathlic running pretty good. Good player playing the HARDEST postion on the floor and doing a great job at it.

And no one has consistently played at the highest level at any game or event than Jenkins. Playing the point, 2G, or forward, he gets it done. Place him on just about any other team in the state and that team becomes a regional contender or more.

Don't forget the mountain boys at Elliott Co. Mr. Basketball balloting always seems to sway toward some of the smaller schools and the great numbers put up by previous winners. As someone mentioned earlier, would they hold the name on the jersey against Sanford????

If you go by statistics Ferguson looks really good.

HOOD-no contest.

Usually don't side with people from Maysville but I have to agree this kid can play and has a really good basketball IQ he is somebody to look out for!

Ferguson is a nice ball player but a lot of things are factored.

Level of competition being one of the biggest...

Hood will win in a land slide. He is by far the best Kentucky has to offer. He sees double and triple teams every night and still manages to put up 28 a game.
