Finals Decision

Featured Replies

Not studying for her exam would be like AN AVERAGE(key word average) AMERICAN not training for a marathon and then expecting to finish it with ease. It just doesn't happen. This thing is going to be so big and horrible, that she told us to e-mail her if we're expecting to take it, because otherwise she's not going to print out alot of copies.

Then no final for me.. :walk:

Essentially I'm one of those people that is "never satisfied", but sometimes I need to be coached still unfortunately.

You decided to challenge yourself, see it through to the end.

I think I have to. Not gonna lie I would be pretty stoked if I got a B.

Dont take the test. Your future employer wont care if you got a B or a C in this class. Use the time to study for your other classes.

And you'll be bummed if you don't... No test... :D

C's get degrees...

But if you plan on keeping your GPA up really high, go ahead and try to get the B.

I got a couple of C's my freshman year and I haven't gotten any since. I really regret not working harder in those classes.

If there is better use of your time, I'd pass on taking the test.

Getting a B vs a C would represent 0.025 points on your final GPA. So, is a 3.325 much different than a 3.30? Doubt it.

I don't think this is about a future employer, it's about you. Studying for this exam will further your education and ability to overcome obstacles. You stated you wanted to challenge yourself by taking this class - see it through to the finish.

Dont be a quitter and don't ever ever settle for average if you think that you can accomplish more . Take it !!!

I barely got my GPA up to 3.5 before my final semester. I wanted to do it because I wanted to graduate with honors, but had to make straight A's last semester in order to do so. Going into my final semester I had a 3.5 exactly...just good enough for cum laude.

If I were him, I'd try to get the B because IMO every point counts.

If he's in the same situation or thinks he might and he thinks that studying for this long-shot doesn't hurt his other grades, fine. Otherwise, pass on it.

If this is his last final and he's got time, take it.

I still have another year, but I doubt I'll be graduating with honors(dropping out my freshmen year to join the army, and not doing it the right way, really wasn't my best move). I didn't take school seriously until about a year ago. I just got by with some hard core umm stuff(too many warnings by the mods to say what I usually would here:D). But within the past year or two I've actually started to apply myself so to speak, it's a work in progress.

I, it's a work in progress.

Rest assured that we're all a work in progress.
