Finals Decision

Featured Replies

So I'm torn. As it stands in one of my classes I've got a 76%. It's a C. This class isn't for my major, it does fall under my minor which is criminal justice. I totally bombed our second exam which was worth 20% of our total grade.

As it stands I can take the final which is optional and try to get a higher grade. But unless I get atleast an 87 on the final, then my grade won't go up to a B, which under our GPA system is all that matters. I took the class, not because I had to, but because I wanted the challenge, I was the only person in there that wasn't a CJ major. But I'm torn on what to do now.

This exam will be filthy, we're talking 15-20 pages and it's cumulative. I dunno if it's worth it. What do you all think.

Have you kept up all year?

If you really wanted a challenge, I think the answer is fairly obvious.

I know.... That's what I was thinking while I was typing my original post. But still.

Just stinks, because If I'd even gotten like a D, on that exam that I BOMMMMMMMBDDDDDDDDD, I'd already have my B. Grrrr.

You gotta take it man...

lol, I think I know what teacher you have. Is it a woman? I had a CJ teacher last semester when I was a CJ major who did that type of system. Why not at least try for the 87? Does it HURT you if you bomb it? I mean if it will hurt you if you bomb it then maybe not lol..

Valid point. If you can only make your grade higher, then go for it.

If you can hurt your grade, then be careful. ;)

I wouldn't be taking it... Just sayin..

I also wouldn't take it...but that's just me. That is unless you are sure you can get an 87 without studying your brains out.

Take it. If you don't, you'll never be satisfied with the C. If you try to improve it, but can't, you're not out anything but the time to take the test.

If it won't hurt your current grade in the class what's the harm in taking it ? Give it shot.

I might take it, but I sure as heck wouldn't study for it..

I wouldn't take it personally but I am lazy at times.

Yes and it's probably the same woman. She's nice and all, but yea her exams aren't. The final can't hurt my grade, but it's state weekend, and well I mean, finals are dumb....

BTW, what did you change your major to?

Not studying for her exam would be like AN AVERAGE(key word average) AMERICAN not training for a marathon and then expecting to finish it with ease. It just doesn't happen. This thing is going to be so big and horrible, that she told us to e-mail her if we're expecting to take it, because otherwise she's not going to print out alot of copies.

Essentially I'm one of those people that is "never satisfied", but sometimes I need to be coached still unfortunately.
