December 10, 200817 yr I have always felt that Micah Johnson's best shot at playing at the next level would be as a defensive lineman. I think that's a good assessment. :thumb:
December 10, 200817 yr Having all three back enxt year would make a monumental difference but I don't see it happening: Lindley- GONE Jarmon- PROBABLY Johnson- DOUBTFUL
December 10, 200817 yr Author The guy from Vandy: Moore? Most projections I have seen have Lindley as a first day guy. About the #5 corner overall. I don't believe Jarmon and Johnson project as high as Lindley. Forgot about Moore. #17 - he killed the Cats on both sides of the ball. I don't know how he projects on the next level, but UK sure did make him look like a 1st day player. :irked:
December 10, 200817 yr Tony Dixon Ventrell Jenkins Trevard Lindley Dicky Lyons Tim Masthay Marcus McClinton Myron Pryor Johnny Williams Garry Williams Those are all the seniors for UK correct?

Trevard Lindley has a chance because it is a numbers game and there are not many cornerbacks coming into this draft.

Micah definitely has the build to play in the NFL but doesnt have the skill
December 11, 200817 yr Having all three back enxt year would make a monumental difference but I don't see it happening: Lindley- GONE Jarmon- PROBABLY Johnson- DOUBTFUL My exact sentiments....Jarmon and Lindley will be fine in the NFL....Johnson had better come back for his sake...I think he'll be getting in a 3 point in the NFL either way.

December 11, 200817 yr I think all 3 of these men have futures in the NFL, but I think even though Lindley is the highest rated, Micah has the brightest future. *Micah is built like a Greek God. He has the talent and body to be an every day NFL player. He could easily have a lengthy career. *Jarmon is a little undersized IMO, but could be a huge asset in the right system with talent around him. That is a big part of the NFL. *Lindley is a good to great cover corner, but NFL corners normally have exceptional quickness, good to great speed, and are physical specimens. I don't see that in Lindley. I think he plays faster than he times, but he is not real physical and could have trouble being a starting corner. He also does not bring any special team ability to the table and that is getting to be a must with defensive backs.
December 11, 200817 yr My guess is the NFL would like to see Micah make more plays before they invest a high pick on him.

My thinking is that he might have a fine career in the NFL, but will not be a high draft pick because of the points you make in addition to the fact that I do not think his combine numbers will work in his favor. I agree with you on Jeremy Jarmon, he is smallish by NFL standards. As far as Micah Johnson goes, I feel he is truly a man without an NFL position. The fact the he is the player who is substituted for in 3rd down passing and nickel situations in college at Kentucky, does not bode will for his future at linebacker in the NFL. Additionally, he has not played "down" in college so a team drafting him to do that would be shooting in the dark.
