A little closer than I expected but a W none the less. Good job Birds.

Seems like SHDHS always plays well against HHS.

Congrats boys. Great job. Go Birds! Who is up next?

Highlands lost so much last year, I'm suprised to see them playing so well. I know they pump out the athletes, but losing two high level college players is tough on a program. I think St. Henry will progress as the season goes on, and will peak right around the All "A".

Highlands lost a lot from last year in McGraw and Simpson but IMO play way better as a team this year which is the reason for their success early. They also have a very deep and talented junior class.

Dill putting in 10 points is impressive. He has a nice game around the basket and bangs. Im telling ya this Stephen Gordon kid impressed me in the scrimmage I watched. He pushes the ball and makes heady decisions. If he can score 8 to 10 a game for them they will be even more deadly. Grote will go through a wall to get a loose ball and can score. Kowolonek will get his and Watson has shown he can put up double digit points. Lother I heard played well at the point for them in the Mason Co game. Kellen smith coming off the bench to get some valuable minutes. I like this group of Juniors because that is all that is playing at this point.

Scary thing is, as deep as they are right now, they aren't even at full strength yet. Grubbs and Co. are still missing due to football.

Is Guidugli and Collinsworth going to play???

St. Henry will struggle this year I believe. They are not very tall and the bench is not that deep as it has been in previous years. Zumdick will need support for them to be successful. Bessler and Swikert coming off the bench right now is what makes their bench now. But if they start Bessler they weaken their bench even more. They miss that true what I call banger or muscle like in previous years with the Adams boy and Rechtin. But Faust will get them going hopefully by the Class A

True about size but they do a have a banger inside. Chris Dault is a strong inside guy who rebounds well. They don't have much height but they do have depth. He's going 11 deep right now. That rotation probably will get down to about 9 or 8 by the ALL A.

Of the 11 how many of them have Varisty experience prior to this year? I saw them last night and yes Dault is a big but last night he seemed out of his game then. I just think Coach Faust will need to work his magic more. I watched the JV game and they only have one player down at that level with height an he had a real good game. So it does not look like beside this player they have much help coming up. But Speed looked great and showed alot last night.
