Seeing the above, the only wins outside the conference against the other power conferences were UC and Washington. UC was not prepared for the limelight when they matched up in week 2. Washington is HORRIBLE, thus no way this qualifies as a quality win outside the conference. I'm not sure if the Big 12 is that good or not either, but UC did win the Big East and TCU is not terrible. The problem is the SEC doesn't schedule great out of conference opponents either. So people aren't sure how good they are until the beat up on OSU in the title game who really isn't that good either. So w/ your argument the only way to find out is a playoff. USC has exactly 0 good wins in my book but it would be nice to see if they are good in a tourney.

Bottomline is that OU dismantled the current #13 team in the country and have to be given credit for that.

Both teams can score. That's obvious. I'd give Florida the nod because of its defense. Not saying I disagree, but Oklahoma has played a much tougher stretch than Florida has.

December 4, 200817 yr It is possible for a rematch of Texas-Oklahoma. The computers have shown no love for Florida, I believe they have them still at a distant 6th overall, with Bama at 3. If they beat bama in a close one, the won't pass OU in the USA today poll possibly, and really might not pass Texas. If they destroy Bama they will pass both UT and OU in the polls, but Bama will fall to 5 or so in the computer rankings, still ahead of UF probably, and Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech will have the top 3 spots in the computers. With those 3 beating up on eachch other they will all have a significantly higher computer rankin than anyother team, OU's is a .98 in the computer right now. Respective computer rankings are as followed. 1. Oklahoma .980 2. Texas .940 3. Bama .920 4. Texas Tech .870 5. Utah .850 6. Florida .820 7. USC .730 Bama may not even fall from 3 in the computers though. But the only possible jump for UF in the computer polls would be to 5 which may be enough to get them in. The overall BCS Rankings 1. Bama .9713 #1 Harris, #1USA Today, #3 Computers 2. Oklahoma .9351 #4 Harris, # 2 USA, #1 Computers 3. Texas .9223 #3 Harris, #3 USA, # 2 Computers 4. Florida .8851 #2 Harris, #4 USA, #6 Computers 5. USC .8076 #5 Harris, # #5 USA, #8 Computers I think if UF wins they get in the title, but its possible that they don't get it in. It's just the facts. IF they win, they will get alot of human 1st place votes, but so will Oklahoma, and Texas may get a few. That will lower their overall score at #1 if they get there. Which could bring thier computer average into play. I predict that IF uf beats bama, things will be close between UF, UT, and possibly bama. It will be a fun weekend. P.S. I don't think Texas is good enough to play in the title. And the best team in the country has no shot at getting in the title. (USC) Everyone talks about offense, but defense will be the calling card of the team that takes the title home. It's too bad the team with the best defense, that lost earlier than all other 1 loss teams has virtually no shot, I think their defensive stats are just as impressive or more impressive than UF or OU's offensive stats. December 4, 200817 yr Ah, college football sadly is my life. I think i've seen just about every division 1 team play this season. I have watched a whole bunch of each of the top teams, top 4 are in this order 1. USC- if they hadn't lost to Oregon State, people would be touting them as one of the best of all time. 2a. Bama- tough as nails, Saban should be C.O.Y. 2b. UF- Fastest team in the country with the best player/leader. 4. Oklahoma. Maybe the only team that could think they have a better offense than Florida. Even though the bcs is just BS, I really enjoy talking about it with a few of my buddies and going over possible title game matchups. I think it will probably be bama/uf vs. Oklahoma, but a rematch is possible, unless all the voters just completely left texas off their ballots next week, which won't happen because some of them will feel sorry about them being passed over in the rankings and not playing in the big 12 title game. It is possible for UF too win and not be in the title though.

Every other team on their isn't that good. Miami and FSU are decent but they couldn't even qualify for the conference tournament in a bad conference. So the SEC didn't beat anyone real good outside of their conference.
