December 1, 200817 yr ESPN just reported Plaxico Burress has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony. I don't have a link at this time.
December 1, 200817 yr Apparently, the hospital recognized him (he was probably wearing a Giants jersey ) and elected not to report the gunshot wound, which is a legal requirement. Be interesting to see what happens to them.
December 1, 200817 yr ESPN's Chris Mortensen said, no matter what, Cheddar Plax's career in NY is probably over. Burress facing two felony weapon charges http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3736356 Edited December 1, 200817 yr by ScarHeel
December 1, 200817 yr While Mort may be right and Plax may be done in New York, I am always skeptical of what he says.
December 1, 200817 yr ESPN radio reported earlier that Plaxico gave a phony name to the doctors as well.
December 1, 200817 yr ESPN radio reported earlier that Plaxico gave a phony name to the doctors as well. Yeah, he said his name was "Harris Smith" and that the incident took place at an Applebee's. However, the hospital faculty noticed him but did not report it.

December 2, 200817 yr Couldn't have happened to better person.......... I am so over this guy. :dancingpa So you are happy that he accidentally shot himself? I do not like TO, but I wasn't "happy" when he "accidentally" overdosed on drugs...
December 2, 200817 yr So you are happy that he accidentally shot himself? I do not like TO, but I wasn't "happy" when he "accidentally" overdosed on drugs... As opposed to what? Feeling sorry for the guy? He made his bed. And the hole in his leg.
December 2, 200817 yr As opposed to what? Feeling sorry for the guy? He made his bed. And the hole in his leg. I'm not saying you should feel sympathy for him. But does it have to be one or the other? I'm not sure I've ever been happy to see someone get injured, no matter if it was their fault or not. Like I said, I wasn't happy when TO overdosed...he did it to himself, but that doesn't mean I was happy about it.
December 2, 200817 yr It’s like Burress going against a smaller cornerback — hard not to like his chances. Brafman won’t be able to help Burress when the NFL is deciding how long to suspend him. Nor can he do anything about the Giants decision to pay or keep him. But Burress has a decent shot to avoid jailtime. Adam Schefter: Tough not to like Burress’ chances
