November 24, 200817 yr Something to be said for getting the yards those guys get when every defense every week is geared to stop you and only you because there is no threat of a pass game True but the offensive line deserves more credit for that than the RB's imo.

November 24, 200817 yr I think Hunter is probably the most underrated. Let's compare his stats to Ringers. I think there is no argument that he plays in a better conference, Ringer only has 156 more yards than Hunter and yet Ringer has ran the ball 160 more times than Hunter. Hunter is also averaging 6.8 ypc which is outstanding.

Beanie Wells(191 rushes - 1,091 yards- 121.2 yards per game - 8 TD's) Beanie has played in 9 games, and look at those numbers. There are guys around the country with over 200 carries, but not as many yards as Beanie. He has played hurt, and been the main target for basically every defense he has face. His yards per game average is 8th best in the nation, if this guy plays all 12 games, healthy, he is your Heisman winner, IMO. Ringer(370 rushes - 1,590 yards - 132.5 yards per game - 21 TD's) Ringer has carried the ball a lot, a whole lot, but he is basically all Michigan State has to go to. He has been a huge work horse for his team, and IMO isn't overrated a bit. He is a Heisman candidate who can run with the best of em. Ringer is explosive as anyone, and can really get out in the open field and make plays happen. Both those kids are far, far, far from overrated.

Wells is obviously a very good runner but I've just never understood the love affair everyone has had with him. I didn't expect many to like that I said that, that's fine with me. There are 20 other RB's that could have had just as good as or even better numbers than what Ringer has had this year if they were put in that situation.
