Isn't this the worst of the 3?? I submit that it is.

 

1. No presents

2. No cool costumes or trick or treating

3. Football games usually awful

4. Turkey usually dry, and meal in general is overrated

5. Not allowed to say "Indian" anymore.

6. If you have a son playing on a football team that is still alive in the playoffs, practices completely destroy your holiday plans.

 

For all those reasons it is my favorite.

1. True no presents unless you're not able to come in for Christmas then you get them early...Not me though..

2. True no costumes, be kinda weird to see a hott girl dressed up in a "sexy turkey" outfit or something..However it me be intriguing to see a hott girl dressed up in a "sext pilgrim" or "sexy Indian" outfit..

3. They have gotten worse as time as went on.

4. We never have dry turkey, and our thanksgiving meal is usually always good.

5. Why can't I say Indian on Thanksgiving?

6. Don't have kids..

 

Overall I like Thanksgiving and it's like Halloween but nothing compares to Christmas!

Apparently, I'm the only bitter one on here who is taking out my frustrations on T-giving because I can't leave town to visit my family due to my son's football practice.:irked:

Might be kinda awkward when it comes time to start carving up THAT turkey!

Plus add all the disfunction of the family. Usually my family comes in, I hang with my cousin and maybe shoot some bball, then eat then everyone goes to sleep watching the Lions lose.

I love Thanksgiving, especially for the traidtion of going to my grandparents. It's just a great relaxing weekend and people don't get all crazy and stuff like for Christmas.

I totally disagree TTC. I love Thanksgiving. No costumes, no shopping, no pressure. Just good food, friends and family.

 

:thumb: All you have to do is sit back, relax, eat Grandma's cooking, watch football and drink bourbon. What's not to like.

Halloween might get the nod if I was a bigger fan of candy. Now a holiday where I can go door to door for cornbread stuffing and sweet potato casserole... I think we'd have something there.

Wow, who poo poo'd on your Thanksgiving day parade? The true meaning of this holiday is clearly being missed here in your bullet points.

 

Being thankful for the air you breathe and the country you live in should be better than any present you ever get. Dressing up is ridiculous anyway. Football games are bad but atleast they are on and those players are also missing out on their families.

 

If your son is playing football this time of year you oughta be thanking your lucky stars anyway.
