Is it Brady or the Patriots?

Featured Replies

The high school QB is looking pretty dang good as the year goes on.

Can you plug almost any QB in the machine known as the Patriots and still get wins?

What say you?

You could probably/obviously still get wins, just not as many and not as many in the dominating fashion that you would have if you had Brady in there.

Brady is great, but Cassel is on fire right now.

I like what Joey Porter would probably say on the subject. I loved the interview that Keyshawn Johnson had with him today, lol.

This kid is playing his 11th game in the NFL, not to mention the Patriots are getting a little long in the tooth.

That's fine. I still don't think he can help that offense dominate like Brady could. You can clearly see that since Brady has been absent.

What did he say?

He was just going on and on about how the Patriots cheated with "Spy Gate" and how he was robbed when they played the Patriots. Then he said that you could put any QB in that system and they would successful if they knew where the blitzes were coming.

He then jokingly said that they must have found a new way to cheat for Brady to have a year like he did last year, jokingly. Then he gave credit to Cassel...it was pretty humorous lol.

I think you could put a lot of QB's in the system and they will be successful...however Tom Brady is a different kind of successful. He has won 3 super bowls...

Brady pulled Mercury Morris out of the woodwork. I haven't seen that kind of production from Cassell, just yet.

That's like saying a RB in Denver is just a product of the system, like Terrel Davis. However, I would argue that Davis was one of the best backs in the 90s. Brady is in a great system for quarterbacks, but is a player who would succeed anywhere.

When Brady went down, the questions immediately began...now we'll find out if Belichick is really that good. Many people began bringing up non-Brady records to show that Belichick and the Patriots were doomed without him.

Now that Cassel has had two consecutive great games and the Pats are in the playoff hunt at 7-4, the argument has flipped. Now Brady is a system QB and anyone could succeed there...

Is it possible, that both Brady and Belichick are very, very good at what they do? In fact, not just good, but two of the best ever at what they do? And, combined, they both make each other look even better, like good coach/QB combos have often done in the league's history?

Sheez.
