I'm sad to be saying this because I can't stand the Dukies, but they are pretty good and are going to get better. I'm not sure if they are a Top 5 team, but they are a Top 10 team for certain.

I disagree. They are still weak inside and I think a team with 2 or 3 really athletic guards would be tough to matchup with.

^ While I do still feel they have holes inside, they are now getting very athletic on the perimeter......I feel Duke should be about 10-13 in the polls, but basketball works itself out regardless.

1,2& 3 they are tough. I agree, I think their weakness this year is an inside game. Unless they can correct that, which coach K usually finds a way, they will finish the season in the lower half of the top 25

There used to be a joke that Notre Dame would remain in the top ten ranked teams in football even if they discontinued the program. Duke has that same "aura" in basketball at current.

That's true....going to 10 Final Fours, and winning three titles in the last 22 years, is very irrelevent.

Duke has a great program. There is no question about that. But since Luol Deng and Chris Duhon left Duke has really struggled. They have went to 2 Sweet 16s, 1 Round of 32, and was eliminated in the 1st round of the tournament 1 year. They are getting better, but I still see weaknesses. Jon Scheyer and Greg Paulus can't guard very athletic guards that effectively and they are going to be outmanned inside a lot.

Paulus doesn't start right now.....Nolan Smith does, and he can guard anyone.

Most cases I agree with you about our Duke team, but this time I can't. Honestly, I don't think there are that many good teams in college basketball this year. Of course you have UNC, and then right after them you've got Louisville and UConn. After that, there's a drop off IMO. UCLA is not a top 10 team and showed itself against Michigan. Pittsburgh is the only other team right now that I would say MAY be better than Duke. Texas is probably right there as well and I don't know enough about Mich St. to say. I believe this Duke team will be really good come March.

If you think they fall in the 10-13 category, who do you have in front of them?

Everybody in the Top 10 deserves their ranking until they lose....JMO.

Agree with ya 2.

He must be a graduate of the R-E-D-I-C-K school of defense.:D
