I am going to the first Corbin game I have been to in nearly 3 years. Having said that I have kept up with the Hounds and I think last week they got the cobwebs out. Bath is a decent football team...I said it last week. Corbin just had to weather them. P'burg is also a good football team that may jump out to a quick lead. I think Campbell and Watkins wear on you quite a bit though. I saw Bath move the ball all over P'burg and turned the ball over. In this type of game special teams make the difference and Corbin certainly has the edge there.

Corbin 30

P'burg 21

Corbin wins by 10.

Clock and Defense will determine this ballgame.

Corbin getting the win.

Wow... !! I didn't realize Corbin was THAT much better than the Yellowjackets. You couldn't tell it from the Wazoo replay of the game between the two...

 :sssh:

This has all the makings of a GREAT HS playoff game. I think Corbin wins in a very VERY close affair that won't be decided until the final horn blows.

Last week, Corbin got all they could handle from Bath County. I know Bath is a good team and all but don't let the final margin fool you. The Wildcats brought it Friday night. Yes Corbin could have had 3 more touchdowns considering the two turnovers in the redzone and the incomplete pass before the half from the 5. Regardless, it was not a good game by the Hounds. In fact it was the worst I have saw Corbin since the Middlesboro game.

Prestonsburg is going to be a whole different animal. I hope someone can convince me that I am having this bad feeling simply because it is alright to be nervous around Region title time as most teams are pretty much even and could win on a given night. It's going to take a vallient effort by Corbin. These Blackcats from Floyd County aren't going to drive the long drive to just play for pride and want to leave with a moral victory. They are going to give the #1 team in the State all they have in them and leave it on the field. I'm hoping that last week's effort was just Corbin being rusty from not really being challenged in over a month. I hope these kids realize what potential they hold and that they can go down as local heroes as long as they play to their potential.

One thing I ask is for every Corbin fan on here to show up, bring your family, friends, and guest from out of town visiting for the Holidays to Campbell Field Friday Night. These kids have been perfect all year long and deserve to have a crowd toughing out the cold temps, being rowdy, and cheering them on like they have never seen before. Lets all make Campbell Field live up to the hype of the Tradition that goes with Corbin football. There is no room for failure from us fans as the players have yet to let us down.

And the Corbin fans did not do that last week, I honestly think Bath Co. had more fans in the stands, and if not it was not by much. This goes for all fans of the game, no matter the weather, you should at least go out and support these young athletes for what they are doing. There is so many other things these young people could be doing and alot of that we dont want them doing. Get out and support your team no matter who it is!:dancingpa

Just a quick question, anyone know the condition of Corbins field?

Nice message !!!

The Corbin field appeared to be in spectacular condition. The week of the big rain (last week of the season), Corbin had the week off. That is one thing Corbin has always managed to do. If at all possible and unless there is just an absolute downpour during playing action, the field is going to be in tip top shape. The only drawback I could possibly see is that it may be a little hard right now due to the cold.

I see, thank you!

Blackcats pull the shocker 21-13.

I still wouldn't see this as a shocker.
