Yea this seems like a waste of time considering the season hasnt even started yet, this may as well as be last years team because there will be some different players to put in these roles. But heres a wack at it...

 

1B- Brake

2B- Conner

3B- kid from Ryle Estehid(sp)

SS- Jones

C- Maile

OF- Nutini

OF- Murray

OF- Cotton

 

Pitchers: Smith, Shuttlesworth, Sainola, Isler

I have given my reason for Nutini not hitting in HS and it's the cold weather. I have never ever seen a kid who hates the cold as much as Nutini does. Really it's the only true reason that I have, as he hits so much better in the summer against much better pitching and I too refuse to use the lesser pitching theory.

 

Say anything you want, but Darner be it at 3rd base or RF he is in my starting lineup! The kid has a gun for a arm and he just hits and hits and hits.....

Well unfortunately, given the weather here in NKY in April and even early May, cold weather is an issue with which Nutini will always have to deal with and will apparently limit his high school hitting success. The problem I have with that theory is that if the young man doesn't like cold as much as you say (can't blame him - I don't either :mad:), you would think it would also adversely affects other areas of his game (pitching, baserunning, defense).

His sophomore year he started right field for I believe probably 90% of the games until Popham, A.K.A. the vacuum left.

TOG. How could you possibly say this, but then go on and say he will make a fabulous college player? Heck, college ball starts in late late february!

This all 9th team seems to be the lineup for the 2009 Kentucky Colonels. This will allow everyone to see if Northern Kentucky's best match up with the rest of the 18 U baseball teams in the Midwest.

Seems like some of you like Lokesak and Cotton of Boone Co. I have not seen either of them play. Who is the better player of the two?

 

Both very good OF'ers. Frankly, I think Cotton tracks a ball as well as anyone in NKY. Neither has a great arm. Lokesak is a better hitter. Cotton needs to become much more consistent at the plate.

I have most recently heard he looked at Heidelburg. Also in OH. Cold weather seems to be in Nutes future whether he likes it or not lol. I think he'll be fine though...I'm not sure why TOG thinks the cold is what affects him. And I think he has done fine in HS season.

Heidelberg is Division 3, is it not? I thought there was a previous thread in which it was stated he was being pursued by Division 1 schools.

I think I posted that Isler was being looked at by X not Nutini!

 

Seems strange that AJ who is a good pitcher but not someone who posters are talking about, has been signed by MSU... Just seems strange that some better players (just not my opionon) are not getting looked at.
