If I had voted for Obama based on his "change" platform, I'd be highly ticked off right now, but I'd be willing to bet those that did vote for him on that "promise" will defend him to the hilt.

It is obvious change - it is no longer the neo-cons running the government. Daschle is considered by many to have an expertise in the health care/insurance field. Check out his book.

Now that Al Qaeda's No. 2 has made some racist comments about Obama, the war on terrorism may intensify. It was bad enough when the terrorists were simply beheading innocent victims and setting off IEDs, now they have insulted a man who believed that his Muslim-sounding name would give him an edge in negotiating with our extremist enemies. Will Obama's pals really push him to close Gitmo now?

 

The Daschle appointment was fitting. Nobody has heard much from him since he lost his Senate seat and that will not change when he takes his new position.

Obama keeps stepping up to the plate and hitting them way out of the ballpark!

A very staunch Obama supporter that I work with who actually cried when she was describing how she felt the day after the election still has no clue what Obama's going to change (but she still believes him). All she knows is that he isn't Bush.

It's sort of like changing a big diaper there in Washington. You may replace the diaper with another one that looks just like the old one, but deep down, same old butt crack underneath.

 

Obama is simply the new nanny.

Change seems pretty much like the status quo so far. No Washington outsiders named. All extremely liberal Dems.

That won't be too bad. We were definately better off during the Clinton administration than the Bush administration. The Republicans will always find fault with whoever he puts in these positions. Daschle will do fine.
