You don't have to argue with me man. We're on the same "team" when it comes to conferences, obviously. But you and I both know the Big East is far from the best. As I said earlier, I'll be pulling for UC to pull out the title and go get a BCS win. :thumb:

Easy... We (UofL fans) no that K-thorpe is a dork. But you don't have be so rude. I mean, UofL pretty much has owned UC. This is just more evidence on how far K-thorpe has sunk our once proud program.

 

Kelly is a punk, a good coach, but a punk. ANYONE will tell you that. Reminds me a lot of Petrino. Don't get me wrong, I wish UofL had him. UC won't have him much longer...

 

Honestly, I was not impressed with UC. They are very average. Pitt is the best team in the conference, that is sad.

 

Once proud program? You act like UL has always been great in football or something? It was just about maybe a good 4 year run there, and thats it. I wouldn't call that a proud program, especially when apparently it was done with a lot of players, that under other coaches. Probably shouldn't have been on the team...

 

I think you all actually have a good coach now, and will get you all to be a good program, and something to really be proud of, because it will be done the right way.

I agree. Was just stating that you have to be somewhat good to win the BEast which is why the top team has had so much success over the past few years in the BCS game; but top to bottom it isn't one of the best in the country. :thumb:

Besides the BCS. What kind of bowl games were they? Maybe I just have a different definition of what a proud program would be. Usually when you hear people talk about a team being a proud program. You think of teams that are usually every year one of the top teams in the nation. So I guess you all just have a different definition for it then me.

This is UL's fourth season in a BCS conference. In their second season in a BCS conference, they won a BCS bowl. C-USA obviously didn't have BCS tie-ins.

No I do. But I will admit, I didn't know that UL for 9 straight years made a bowl game. However playing in Conference USA definitely would have helped some years with that. My point was, the guy said Kragthorpe had sunk a once proud program. So I guess I just have a different definition than you all then, when I hear people talk about proud programs. I think of elite teams, who are usually always up there at the top in the nation. Those are proud programs IMO. So I guess it is just a difference in opinion then on what a proud program means.

Pitt looked pretty average against UL until the Cards started hemorrhaging away points in the 4th. We'll find out next week in The Nip...

Kragthorpe was told that Cincinnati had held a prayer around the Cardinals logo. He then blew it out of proportion and thought that Cincinnati was disrespecting the Cardinals. He confronted Kelly and heated words were exchanged. The video shows the Cats did NOTHING wrong and didn't disrespect the Cardinals at all.

 

Screw Kragthorpe for starting it and I'm glad Kelly had the last word. Enjoy your 5th tier bowl game, if you even get there.

The UC team does that before every single game, home or away. They have their pre-game walk-through about 3 hours before kickoff and then right after, they invite anyone on the team who want to participate, to pray at midfield. They purposely circle the logo, so as not to step on the opposing team's logo, because that would be disrespectful. Kragthorpe tried to use this to motivate his team out of desperation...

And for the record it was Kragthorpe that refused to shake BK's hand. The cameras caught BK waiving his hand at him when he turned his back. You want to talk lack of class UL fans, look on your own sideline...
