I agree, the CCH faithful have been on a witch hunt all year, its time to end this nonsense. Accounts of this game are serving whom? Players play ,coaches coach and alumni should shut up and watch!

 

If it is senior day then the kid needs to play its that simple. With that said though you also need to get next year's starter some snaps. My guess is brossart leaves after one season because it sounds like a cancerous situation for everybody down there. Does anybody know the points scored against and for the colonels this season?

so they gave up 38 points a game wow! Raiderbird what was the average margin on those losses? I'm going to go out on a limb and say 40 points.

 

Wow I just answered my own question going out on riherds as the Average is exactly 40 points. Just edited this post. That is really weird.

Were you even at the game because Erpenbeck took all the snaps during warm ups, and while the seniors were being announced all of the other players were in the locker room. So what you say doesn't even make sense. Yes Young did take several snaps during warm ups, but it was more towards the end, which I'm guessing if you were at the game is when you showed up.

 

I showed up to the game 35 minutes prior so if Erpenbeck did indeed take some snaps I sure didn't see it and neither did someone who I sat with who had been at the stadium and around CCH since 9:00 in the morning because their son is a senior for CCH. I'd say I know what I'm talking about in this situation.

 

Again, I have no problem with Erpenbeck playing on senior day. But you don't start the kid over your senior qb and then not even play your senior until the score is 56-0 and it's the fourth quarter. I would be very embarassed if I were that young man and his family. That was a VERY classless act on Brossart's part and very distasteful. My point of view is strictly an outsider looking in. It's no secret on here that I have ties with both Holmes and Highlands, but when I see what I saw yesterday, it just leaves a very poor taste in my mouth. I don't know of any other coach in NKY who would have did something like this.

Wow, I knew that when they lost, they lost, but that is just downright embarrassing. I know that the schedule has been brutal, but there is no reason why a school like CCH should be losing games by an average of 40 points.

 

As a CCH alum I used to look forward to going to the games and if I am unable to attend reading about the game in the paper. Lately it has come to the point where there is no need to go to the games and I just cringe when I open up the paper to see the score. My how my Colonels have fallen.

Senior day is not a sporting event, it is the schools way of recognizing outgoing seniors. If this kid had played any in the past couple of years I could maybe understand your point, maybe. He was handed the job after injury. and the 2 times I saw him play, I would have sat him as well. It was his job to lose and he did.It was the coaches game time decision to play whom he thought gave CCH the best chance to win, do you think he knew he would get heat, I am sure. At least he put the school first unlike some of the posters. If the coaches went by your thinking on senior day, they would need to start all seniors regardless of skill or talent.If it was me I would rather sit than make a token social appearence that means more to the high brow alumni than me. Its called competitve SPORTS not HIGH TEA.

It's funny how the Beechwood and HHS fans are rooting for Brossart and if I were a fan of either school, I would be rooting for CovCath to keep Brossart also!

 

Could it be the reason that they are rooting for Brossart is that HHS & B are a combined 4-1 against CovCath since Brossart started coaching with the combined winning scores being 49-171 in their favor? Now in the two years prior under a differnet coach, CovCath was a combined 4-1 with the combined socres being 137-84 in CovCath favor? :sssh:

I think your reading this all wrong, as far as this Tiger fan goes,I could care less who coaches at CCH.And as far as all the HHS fans I know I am sure they dont either. Nor do I believe Beechwoods or HHS coaches spend sleepless nights pondering this. All I am saying is the guy was well within his rights starting who he thought was best for the game, regardless when the desicion wa made. They want to fire him then do it, stop whining that he did this and he did that. just do it or put him in charge of the day care program over there, it seems to be what they want.:scared:

I have seen the UK basketball team start seniors who shouldn't be in the game, against competition too tuff for them. If it happens at that level, it just seems odd it can't happen here. Especially when the guy has been starting for you lately.

 

The score was 56-0 with the "best" QB, what would the score have been if the Senior started? This is about the score that most predicted before the game, so why did it matter? IMO, it would have just been best to start the senior, and bring on the junior as early as you wanted after that, even in the 2nd or 4rd series. Bringing him in down 56-0 is even more debateable. You should have left your junior in at that point to get more snaps.
