Sarah Palin--Outraged??

She should've realized she wasn't ready and declined the nomination.

Moderates voted for Reagan in large numbers. It is nonsensical to say that moderates will not vote for a conservative.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Sarah Palin is no Ronald Reagan.

I think the point is that America will still vote for a convservative candidate, not that Palin = Reagan.

That's fair, but I say that there are conservatives that moderates will vote for and there are conservatives that moderates will not vote for. Sarah Palin, because of her shallow knowledge and experience, falls into the latter category. I don't think she'll be able to attract a critical mass of voters by pandering to the rural residents in red states who are willing to overlook her inadequacies.

Shallow knowledge and experience are easy to overcome with time. Obama proved that and there's nothing to indicate Palin couldn't do it in the next several years if she pursued it with the same dedication as he did.

That would be mostly perceived inadequacies and media created inadequacies.

I hope she runs in 2012, easy win for Obama... my opinion

I never said that she was. I was just illustrating the incorrectness of your assertion that moderates will not vote for a conservative. It has been done before and it will happen again.

If Bush can win in 2004, than O should win in 2012.

True... :thumb: I hope that Obama earns it, because this country needs a change.

Thats true, but I don't think she will be the one.

This country does not need a change to some of the policies that he and the left wing are promoting.

A change in how racism is viewed in this country, absolutely.

A change to a mindset of hope, absolutely.

But a change in some of his policies, no, absolutely NOT!

Any person that thinks that rich people are bad and needed to be taxed more but that the unborn does not deserve as much protection as poor people do, is wrong.

Can't see her that soon.

I received this in an email today and thought you might find it interesting

The shameful, false and ugly attacks against the great Gov. Sarah Palin continue, and she is now speaking out, defending herself, and fighting back - but she needs our support!

The Our Country Deserves Better Committee will be producing a pro-Palin TV ad during the next week that features Americans thanking Sarah Palin for her efforts as a public servant, her enthusiastic promotion of conservative principles, and the grace and dignity with which she conducted herself during the campaign -- even as she faced daily attacks from the media, Barack Obama's campaign, and many in the Washington political establishment.

We need your help to pay for the production and broadcast airtime of this new "Thank You Sarah Palin" ad which will run on television in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

Palin's national political career started just four months ago so comparing her to Reagan is obviously premature. However, your comment reminded me how much the media tried to portray Reagan as a simpleton who lacked the intelligence to be president so in that respect Palin is in good company.
