Not true. If you believe that it is, please list all of the Republicans that have applied the "heat." While you are at it, it would be great if you indicate which ones have actually every met the woman. Here, I will start the list.

Chris Buckley - never met her

Kathleen Parker - never met her

David Gergen - never met her (I don't believe that he is really a Republican either)

If Palin finishes her term as governor as strongly as it began, she will be a contender for the 2012 nomination, the smears from the mainstream media and left wing bloggers notwithstanding. If that happens, then some of Palin's critics, including those listed above, will be jumping on her bandwagon.

There's a difference between making a slip of the tongue during an extemporaneous remark and not being able to answer direct, straightforward questions about your qualifications (like what newspapers you read, or speaking intelligently about the proposed financial rescue package, or discussing the merits of the September 2002 Bush Doctrine.) Obama and McCain had their share of the former. Obama said he had visited "57 states", McCain stated that al Qaeda were crossing into Iran for training. Most people took these mis-statements for what they were--manifestations of long hours on the campaign trail, and not indications of genuine ignorance.

 

So H, do you believe that Palin genuinely didn't know that Africa was a continent and not a country?

The willingness of Obama supporters to dismiss well documented and troubling instances of corrumption on Obama's part while eagerly spreading gossip about Palin has been facinating. We shall see how well Obama's socialist initiatives work in an economy in recession. If raising taxes, increasing spending, driving business costs up by pandering to the unions by eliminating secret ballot requirements, and bankrupting major US industries improves the economy, then I may give socialism a second look :lol:

 

However, until then I will remain convinced that Sarah Palin has a much better understanding and appreciation of what has made America great than Obama or Biden. Socialism has been tried before - repeatedly - and it has failed - repeatedly. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Nice try, but I am not a Republican, I am a conservative. I have never defended Bush's spending and I do not support the bail out. As for raising taxes on big oil, Palin nixed the sweetheart deals that her corrupt predecessor cut with the companies. The large jump in revenues resulted mostly from the soaring price of crude oil and instead of growing government, Palin sent to surplus to the taxpayers. Constant efforts to disparage Palin's sparkling record in Alaska may fool liberals but conservatives are not buying it.

 

The fact is Sarah Palin will not become president in January but Obama will. What will Democrats do when the public grows weary of the attacks on Palin and finally focuses on the socialist agenda of Barack Obama? I am anxious to see how raising taxes during a recession works out for The One.

 

Americans will finally be focused on Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi soon and few people will be interested in anonymous smears against an outstanding Alaskan governor.

The Obama gaffe was reported, and everyone knows it was simply a mistake. The people talking badly about Palin are not democrats, they ar the McCain people, some were her handlers. The big report is not really whether or not Palin knew these things, but the backbiting that is taking place.

My common sense tells me the Dems are very fearful of Palin for some reason?? Why would they and their mouthpieces in the media try so hard to destroy this alledged "simpleton from Alaska"?? Sarah Palin did not simply run against an unpopular corrupt governor, she was instrumental in exposing the corruption in Murkowski's administration that made him unpopular. That is a distinction that liberals just do not seem to get. In addition, her efforts led to the resignation of the GOP Chairman from the energy commission, who was also forced to pay a $12,000 fine, and the resignation of Alaska's Attorney General. It was those efforts that put her into position to run against and easily defeat an incumbent governor and a former Democratic governor.

 

Sarah Palin did not just get lucky to run against an unpopular governor she made that luck happen.
