When we were feeding the boys a few years ago they really like dirt pudding or dirt cake or whatever they call it. My wife and some of the other moms made it and the boys and in paticular one of the coaches loved it. Its oreos and some pudding. If you want details I'll have her post it.

If you wouldn't mind a recipe from a Greenup County Mom, I make Dirt Pudding and my 6'5" offensive lineman loves it:

1 lg pkg oreo cookies (20 oz)

Crush oreos in blender. Put 8 to 10 coopies at a time and blend until well crushed. Set aside.

1 stick margarine

1 cup powdered sugar

8 oz cream cheese

Mix together until smooth.

2 pkgs instant vanilla pudding(I use choc. if that's what you want to do)

16 oz whipped cream (cool whip)

3 cup milk

Mix together in a separate bowl. Stir until well blended. Then add to the cream cheese mixture. Mix well. Pour 1/2 the oreo crumbs in a 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Pour mixture over Oreos. Spread it out then put other 1/2 of oreos on top. Refrigerate. Eat.

Unfortunately, my sons and husband won't let it refrigerate long enough. LOL

TK the Rams are experiencing a dream season this year. Let them have their glory. Many of them on here are living their lives through a football team. Let them soak it up and talk about their team meals. Hopefully the team will end up on the carpet and their last senior meal will be in Louisville. Maybe Mrs. Sideline Doc travels.

Just hope the posters can live without Ram football this winter.

I am sorry that some people want to jump on this thread and make fun of our team and fans. I think that not too long ago HHS did things like this and everyone joined in. This is part of a football discussion since it involves our seniors and what they are doing. Secondly, what is wrong with keeping people updated on what is going on? This is a great year for Raceland, but to slam us for enjoying it is pretty shameful. Too bad you don't cheer for your team (whoever that is...) with the same enthusiasm. We support and respect our boys for what they are doing.

Re-read post #35. That is a slam...."Most of them are living their lives through a football team"? We are supporting them, not living through them. We are a small Idependent school in Greenup County and have been ardant football fans even when we were 4-6. We don't have many losing seasons since 1926, and don't want anymore. Raceland fans will be supportive each and every year, no matter our record and no matter our opponent.

I realize that you stated in an earlier post that you did not mean to slam anyone and that is fine with me, no problem. I just wanted to say that imo there is no one "living their lives through a football team" as you put it. What I do see is parents, fans and a community supporting their high school football team, school, coaches admin and players.

 

There was a slogan down here a few years ago that says it best (and it really has nothing to do with winning or losing, rather a feeling about our h.s. football) that went like this....."After All of These Years if I Have to Explain Raceland Rams Football to you.....Then you Wouldn't Understand."
