A top in-state talent

 

 

The 10th Region in the state of Kentucky has been on quite a run producing top talent in recent years, including Chris Lofton, Darius Miller and Preston Knowles.

 

Now, there's another star in the making.

 

Clark County sophomore-to-be Robbie Stenzel averaged 20 points a game as a freshman and is one of the top prospects among in-state players in the Class of 2011.

 

The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has been a key cog on the Clark County varsity team for two years, including as an eighth-grader when the Cardinals won the 10th Region title.

He's a stud with very few weaknesses to his game. I'm sure he'll be even better this year. The young man deserves this kind of publicity.

I have seen him play. He is a real player. I look forward to seeing him this season as well. The early season contest between he and North Laurel's Josh Seidel will be a show between 2 fantastic shooting guards who can flat out put the rock in the hole!

Robbie plays more on the wing as Hatton and Williams will have the guard spots....but he can hit anywhere on the floor. I look forward to watching Seidel play this year. MT will you be making the trip up this year?

I had not heard that GRC was coming up for that tourney. They will face off with Simon Kenton, Dixie, Scott in that tourney. That woud mean they would face Scott twice this season?

GRC will play in the Kenton Co tourney. The tourney is on our schedule. Jan 19-24. I have not seen the parings yet.

Stenzel is already getting some college attention. He's heard from Morehead State, Kentucky and Georgetown College.

 

Also VCU has shown interest. I am sure that with 3 years yet to play ( he will just be a Shophomore), there will more schools added to this list.
