Bengals 1st Round Draft Pick

Featured Replies

I do know Irons packed up and left his digs in Ludlow. I didn't think they resigned him. As of right now, Benson is the only one who is capable of starting, and he is only signed through this year. Perry is not an NFL back. Dorsey has shown a little spark here and there. Watson can serve a role player at best. Do we have any FBs on this team? With that said, they better not draft an RB or any skill player with that 1st pick. O line and more O line. Then D line.

I agree with the bolded part! That first pick has to be on either side of the line. I mean on the D-line we have no pass rush ever, so if we can get any pass rush at all. It will help out our young secondary. However the offensive line also needs work. Got to remember they did draft that Collins guy from Kansas who is OT who they are pretty high on.

Its so easy to say should have got this guy, after we have seen them perform. I mean we had Corey Dillon who was doing great and the only good thing on offense at that time. So made no sense to take LT. Then I mean everyone had Justin Smith rated higher than Richard Seymour at the time.

Good points. They really didn't blow it with J. Smith until they tagged him.

Trade down and get as many picks as possible out of the deal.

First the Bengals have to resign Benson. Secondly the Bengals should draft another runningback. Dorsey is good to have on the team, Watson is alright. But much rather draft a runningback around rounds 3 or 4. Runningback is definitely a position they would need to address.

The difference between a good draft and a great draft is what you do in the middle rounds, particularly 2-4. If you can get a contributor in the 5th or after, it's icing on the cake.

The Bengals cannot run the ball for a multitude of reasons. But, it all starts up front. Take a look at the good teams in the league. Denver has no problem inserting anyone in their backfield. Pittsburgh does the same. Running backs in the NFL are a dime a dozen, and the Bengals have plenty of them. They're not elite backs, but they're capable with a good enough offensive line.

My worry is that Stacy Andrews, who did a great job against Mario Williams, won't be here next year...

If they have top top pick I look for them to trade it. Mr. Brown doesn't want to pay the top overall pick.

Have they ever traded down from the #1 pick? I don't think he has. So I don't think you have much to back that theory up. Or else we would have traded down everytime we have had it.

Just what I have heard from some people at scouts inc. but they could be wrong. It is pretty obvious season tickets will take a hit next year. Rivers and Pollack, both mid first round picks, held out for a little bit.

How great would it be to have those 2 1st round draft picks for Ocho Cinco now.

We could have drafted Crabtree with the 1st or 2nd pick and got one of the big 3 OT and a Defensive lineman with our other 1st round picks!
