WOW, were they accused of running up the score?

OK, Guru is going to hate the Highlands bye week, because that means I'm on everyone elses threads.:D

Maybe St. X can do that to them next week.:irked:

Does anyone know if this score was aviodable?

I doubt it. Moore is really, really down this year. Central hasn't necessarily played as well as most expected this year, but they still have a really good team.

Central is coming on very strong....they very well maybe a top 3-4 team, overall, in the state....I will be shocked if they don't repeat.

No it was not. Central threw the ball 4 times in the first quater and that was it. They returned 3 fumbles for TD's and took the opening kicking off back to the 10. Eight or Nine different players scored and they only scored 7 points in the second half. Freshmen played the second half. This was not a run the score up game. Moore had 12 fumbles.

Sweet Jesus, that has to be a record.

Depends on if they were lost fumbles or not. If not then i strongly doubt its a record.

So it was 69 - 0 at the half?

Well that explains alot. I didnt think Scroggins would intentionally run up the score.

To show you how concerned Scroggins was about this game, he only took 3 other coaches with him to the game and sent the rest out to scout their upcoming opponents for the playoffs.

I know Moore is down after graduating 20+ seniors from last year's squad and adjusting to learning a new offense. I believe that Bob Johnson brought in Gary Sortori to run the offense which is different than what Johnson had been running prior to this season. Moore hasnt scored more than 21 points in a game all year, is giving up over 40 per game and with 2 games remaining against Ballard and Fern Creek (assuming they make up that game), Moore will more than likely finish at 0-10. Their closest game was a 17 point loss to Iroquois. Tough, Tough, Tough year! Hope the players will see it as a rebuilding process and they dont lose anyone.

Sorry...add in a 1st round playoff at North Oldham...probably going 0-11. Got to be hard on them

The North Oldham fans and players will understand what they are feeling. Been there, done that!
