I seen him limping in the second quarter just thought Bellevue was wearing him down.

He has had back and ankle problems all year, hard to say what this was, I do know there were several first team players that were out, or playing with some kind of flu like illness.

My friend was video taping and heard Beechwood coaches say they put the starters in at the begining of the second half not sure if that is true though.

Not sure but from what my brother tells me (he's only in first grade) was that most of everybody who starts was in the entire game.

That is funny !Guess your thought was wrong when he started pounding it in the 3 rd and 4 th.Didn't BW score 3 times in the 3 rd.There was a big difference in the line play from the 1 st half to the second.B'vue did a good job in the 1 st half keeping the ball but could not get it in.Them running the ball ate up a ton of clock which prevented BW from being able to score.Bvue did hold BW out with a first and goal at the 5 .

Bvue had a chance at the end of the half when 2 BW defenders collided while intercepting a pass and it fell in the hands of the Bvue player at the 15.BW held them out ,as you can see.

If you don't get touches you can't be a factor .I would say Buckler did not have many yards at all ,maybe 40 - 50 at best.He did get more touches in the second half.

He was just that, I would say he didnt have 40 yds. And he did get his touches.The kid is game ill give him that but he just could not break that line and I am sure the Bvue coach was aware of that. He did well against the 0-8 teams but this was a different kinda beast.

Second half was dominated by Beechwood. They scored on 6 of their 7 possessions.

Teipel: 21-125 yds

 

Barrett and Buckler COMBINED had 71 yds rushing on 21 carries and Wills completed just 2 passes all night.

"Bellevue never threatened in the game and could only reach the Beechwood 19. Bellevue was led by Ricky Buckler and Thomas Barrett, who combined for 71 yards on 21 attempts. And quarterback Richard Wills completed just one of two passes all night". This is from the enquirer this morning. With the exception of the Beechwood team's slow start the score really didn't shock me. I think we will see close to the same results should they meet again later.:thumb:

Beechwood just to big and strong. Really showed the second half. Felt like Bellevue played on heart the first half. Beechwood has a great team.

I don't know what is your problem with this Buckler kid so much. You act like this proves he is not one of the best backs in the area, and well this proves NOTHING. You can be the best back in the world, and if your line can't block for you against a team, then you are not going anywhere...

Shouldn't Beechwood try to move up to 2A, as a fan it's not fun watching a 50-0 game almost every week.

Thats what I am saying. They would get more out of playing the HC's, NCC's and Newports locally.

If they move up to 2A or 3A ,what are they going to do in the "DOWN YEARS" so to say?Next year for example-they only have about 10 juniors on this team.Just say what if they run into another thin class behind it.Just food for thought.
