Crush time to come down off the high horse. Because the truth is you've rode someone else's horses to build the program you have built. Yes you've had a lot of great athletes from in district but a whole heck of a lot out of district also.

I actually forgot about Menetry. I knew he was out of district but forgot he was an Alexandria boy.

All the talk about the running backs is really misguided. The backs performance is a reflection of the line in front of him. A blind squirrel on morphine could run behind BWs line. Yes # 44 is a talented kid, but he really isn’t an exceptional back. He is an exceptional athlete. Just be thankful he plays linebacker as well. I would say any back would be successful behind the line of BW. If Buckler transferred to BW he would really run up the yards.

By the way, the line of BW has a 3.8 average GPA. Do you understand the benefits of having kids that are easily taught and can retain information working as a team?

Anyone trying to build a program needs to start in the classroom.

 

You might want to watch game film before you say that. Most of Teipels yards comes after first contact. He has 4.6 speed and the size to run people over. Running up the middle or getting the edge or even running people over is great to have just one of those qualities in a back, but to have all three I think makes him special.

Menetry and Moore both moved to Ft. Mitchell. I don't think you can call them out of district. How about Eric Sawyer or the Slushers both of these families moved to Ft. Mitchell. Isn't Teipel originally from another district?

Ludlow , Dayton and Bellevue all accept tuition students. How about we name them. I think Ludlow's list would be quite impressive.

Here's a point insist your school becomes a better place to educate all children, demand accountability or move you have the right and responsbility to do both.

Fiirst of all I have never compared Buckler to Tiepel so why are you bringing him into this? Last time I checked this was a game of competition, 11 boys against 11 boys. There are classes of schools all having to do with size of student body. I have heard enough about socio economic advantages and the advantage our gene pool gives us, come on, get a grip. Not every parent is well to do in the district, believe me. So stop your whining and giving all the reasons your schools cant develop a program and just do it.

I am sure we would not beat the Trinity or Saint x teams but we would at least have the tools to give them a run, and there would be no excuses the next day about devine intervention!

So just because a guy plays against a team who is just definitely better than his, doesn't prove that he isn't as good as people say. Beechwood right now is head and shoulders about those river schools, so yeah a guy will struggle against them, because 11 on 11 Beechwood is just better. And are you trying to defend Beechwood here, because you just proved the point I been saying on here. Yeah Technically a lot of the kids end up not being out of district. However they grow up in other districts and then their parents move them to that area so they can play football for Beechwood. Don't give me the whole just for better education thing. Yeah Beechwood does have a good education system which is great. However the main reason people decide to move into that system is because of football only. You wouldn't see them just be moving there just for the education if the football team was not that good...So yeah I mean technically they not out of district when they play at Beechwood. But that is what I talking about for why these days it is hard for the other little schools to build programs. You don't have really great talent moving into their areas just to play football. You have actually talent move from their area to go somewhere else to play. I have explained this a few times recently on here, and I don't know why you all try to argue it, and take defense to it. As for the education thing, Ludlow has a very good education system as well. I mean for 4 straight years Ludlow was in top 15 in state when it came to test scores, and well above Beechwood each year. Just have good education is not going to bring people in. I mean I know I wish, it was that way for my school, and I would have no problem with it, because it is the truth. You all just try to act like anyone can, and I explaining how it just with how things are today, almost impossible.

How is my point misinformed at all? If anything I think I shown my point was dead on. I even agreed with you on somethings about how Beechwood really don't have to many out of district players when they are in high school because they do move to that area. You just don't understand my point, and as I said I really don't know why you all are getting so defensive about this. Its really not a shot at you. Its just when you all are saying well you could do that too, I just make my case why that is not true these days. As I said before those people who moved into that area with talented football players, didn't move their because of the education. They moved their because of the football. Yeah the education was a plus for them, but as I said do you really think they would have moved their just for the education if the football team was bad? Yeah I didn't think so. Which was my whole point about this whole thing. Its not as easy as you think to build top programs now. Its about impossible. Parents will just move their talented kids to areas with top football schools. So that helps to stay on top, and hurts the schools where those kids came from. And also those other small schools don't get top talent to move to their school just for football.

Please please please do not tell me anything about believing. You really don't know who you are talking to. If you ask people I am one of the most optimistic people there is, and always believe things can happen. However some of you get so defensive about somethings, and really for NO REASON because no one is taking a shot at your school. Atleast I am not. I am just saying how things are. Yeah can it happen one day, yes it definitely can. But as I said RIGHT NOW in todays age, it is just about impossible and I have explained why...

I don’t need to watch game film Willy. He is an exceptional athlete. Read the post. There is no way you can call him an exceptional running back. He repeatedly turns his back on contact trying to spin free. IMO an exceptional back would decelerate under control, change direction and accelerate creating distance between him and the tackler. Again I will repeat myself in case you missed it. HE IS AN EXCEPTIONAL ATLETE. Avoiding aggressive contact early in the game is not what I would call exceptional. Also read the thread again he plays linebacker as well, it has to take its toll. Look at # 35 on BW as you watch the game film you will see a much more balanced runner, low, better cuts and keeping his face towards the goal. IMO # 44 has given up on the play when he spins trying to lessen the blow. He is not trying to gain yards by spinning, just lessen the blow.

He is a special 1A back, and I believe he would be a better back given better training. Also playing at a larger school would allow him to focus on running.

4.6 speed with power is good, not exceptional…
