The Race Card

Featured Replies

This over-used term creeps into almost every thread.

If Barack Obama wins the election, is the Race Card taken out of the deck? If a black man can be President is there really anything holding anyone back.

That would be my hope but I think the discussion will worsen and race will be the discussion focus and criticism of every appointment and every decision.

Can't we all just get along?

I always thought the race card was the list of ponies running for that day at the Downs.

I'm with nwo, this election has really opened my eyes. I think it has shown that a lot of the feelings many thought were long gone are still very strong.

Obama is the only one I've heard playing the race card.

I'm glad someone else understands what I'm talking about.

This is interesting as I was thinking about this the other day. If Obama wins is affirmative action out the window?

The guy both of you are voting for is the MAIN offender. I have to ask, are your eyes open to that? If so, how can you vote for him?

I'm pretty sure fkyw is voting for Barr.

My bad, I thought he was for Obama. Sorry fkyw. Although, a vote for Barr is a vote for Obama if you ask me.

I do agree that we are seeing some people who absolutely are opposed to Obama simply because of race, which is idiotic IMHO. We also see people who are for him simply because of race, which is understandable given the history in our country, but I don't think race should even be a consideration. It just shouldn't matter, but sadly, to some it still does. And having said this, I am a McCain supporter. I wanted him in 2000 instead of Bush. I just hope and pray that everyone can look at their records and issues and make their decision, not on the color of their skin.

LOL...I think Obama is a horrible candidate. Do you not read other people's posts?

Now, now. Earlier in this thread, you made a total of one post (post #3) that did not name out and criticize Sen. Obama, as well as agreeing with someone (dare I say it) across party lines!. You must be an Obama supporter!
