October 22, 200817 yr This over-used term creeps into almost every thread. If Barack Obama wins the election, is the Race Card taken out of the deck? If a black man can be President is there really anything holding anyone back. That would be my hope but I think the discussion will worsen and race will be the discussion focus and criticism of every appointment and every decision. Can't we all just get along? I haven't read the rest of the post on this thread so I don't know if this is a repeat of an earlier post or not. I cannot stand to hear this constantly brought up:irked:. I have plenty of reasons NOT to vote for Obama and race has absolutely nothing to do with it. I just wanted to say that the ONLY ones that I have heard mention this on t.v. and that are playing the race card are the Liberal Media, the Obama camp themselves and a lot of the Dems. Those imo are the only ones tht I have heard mention it and usually when they do they are trying to spin it back on the right.

What does that have to do with this? Voting for a candidate that has zero chance of winning helps Obama, just like voting for Perot got Clinton elected. That's the point I'm making.

It may help Obama, it may help McCain (at this point I have no clue who I would've voted for if not Barr). I know who it definitely helps, Bob Barr. That's who I like the best...and what is really awesome is he isn't the lesser of two evils for me. You can continue to choose to ignore the many times I have provided good reasons to vote 3rd party, but the simple facts are, they are there. But, back to the thread. Both sides have used the race card. What I am saying is that I have seen many feelings expressed by supporters during this election that I thought were long dead. It seems that we haven't came as far as people would lead you to believe.
