Not for sure about Ryle, I thought they had a lot returning. As for CovCath ,losing Maile hurts, and I saw them play Campbell and other teams last year. Campbell had them down 9 with under 2 minutes to go and had a meltdown. CovCath is going to have to find some scoring. I think it will be interesting how the top 5 shakes out, they all seem to play each other so we will know the truth then.

But what does Ryle have? Or are you saying you don't really know, because that is fine I just thought you maybe knew because you said you thought they should be higher. As for CovCath, I think they will be fine. Losing Maile hurts, but probably not as bad as some people think. I think they will play better as a team without. Scoring wise, they will have A LOT of issues if they play up to what they are known for and just shoot the three non stop and go into panic mode if they get down more than 5. They need to utilize the type of players they have this year and three point shooting isn't a strength. I am also kind of interested to see how Highlands does, hearing that some of the athletic football boys are coming out..hmm.

I really don't know. I just watched them a few times and thought they were talented but still inexperiened. I agree with what you say about CovCath, and they will be in most games if they defend as they always have.

Ryle should be solid this year. They have a good big man in 6'6 Nichols who is one of the more physical big men in nky and they return several good guards in 6'1 Mcleish, 6'3 Lamping, and 6'4 Coleman. Only downfall they'll have is a lack of height. After those 4 they just have a bunch of small 6' or under guards. It will be tough for them to rebound against teams like Holmes, Covcath and Boone who have bigger kids and more athleticism.

 

Covcath will indeed have to find some scoring but I think a lot of people will be surprised. Listerman will instill a defense first mentality in this year's group and I can guarantee by mid season they won't struggle as much as some think. They will go with a bigger lineup and should be able to get a lot of points off of put backs and easy lay ups. I'd wait and see how they do the first couple of games before giving an assessment on them. They had a solid JV team last year who gave Holmes their only loss of the season.

I just can't wait for this year to start. It's going to be very exciting to see what happens.

I personally think Scott is better than St. Henry. Scott returns a lot and has some good depth to go along with their talent.

I think Holy Cross will be in the top ten by the end of the year. IMO

Actually I think it was Thomas and Lang that graduated, not Thomas and Pugh. I know Conner returns the Avery kid this year (cousin of former Holmes player Braeon Avery) as well as Brake maybe?

I agree with you! I think Scott will be better than Highlands, St Henry, and can definetly beat CCH & Ryle this year. I believe they should be ranked at the 6 spot, but 9th only infront of a Dixie team they beat by almost 20+ plus this summer? Just my opinion though. Also CCH is definetly ranked a little too high. They return 1 starter I think in Mitch Shover?

Connor has Demitrius Avery who IMO could be a top player in the region by seasons end. Thel also return their 6th man I believe, Tyler Break. It was Thomas and Pugh who graduated. Micah Pugh went over to play at Thomas Moore but injured his foot and is having surgery. Don't know if he will be returning to the team or not.
