Looks like Henry is going the other way to me. As they beat North Oldham and Western hills last year and that did not happen this year. Also Henry had most of there players back from the team that beat does guys last year.

 

Maybe they can get Spencer this week and keep them from going to Central right off the bat.

The first unsportsmanlike penalty on that series was for a clip 4 yards out of bounds on Carroll Co. The second was for who know's what by a CC player and the third, on HC, was due to a player talking to his teammate and trying to get him to calm down after having been drilled 4 yards out of bounds in the back (either way HC needs to remain calm no matter what happens). Second, no trick plays involved, HC missed the extra point and went for two using the swinging gate they lined up in. If you FAIL to adjust it's automatic. Third, not an onside kick. If you keep your kicking team back, HC has shown they will pooch the ball (they pooch atleast 90% of their kicks). I noticed that with 11 minutes to go a majority of the JV was cycled into the game for HC, and by 8 minutes to go HC was able to get just about everyone into the game. Henry didn't throw a deep ball from the 3rd quarter on. If they wanted to run it up, they really could have. You also speak like there is a major contrast in enrollment. Go check the numbers, HC was less than a handfull of males in the school from being AA-Not exactly David and Goliath here. I also recall the stout butt-kicking handed out in 2006 by CC and nobody was crying the score was run up then. Either way, I think CC has a good bunch and will give Desales all they want. The ball was "pooched" in the air but barely traveled 10 yards on the first kick and less than 10 yards for the second kick. Nice job of hitting the player after he signaled a fair catch on the second kick. I would say they qualify as onside kicks. The rest of your pooch kicks traveled as least to the opponents 30

 

You also failed to mention that the player that committed the personal foul that also led to the 2 unsportsmanlike penalities didn't see the field the rest of the night.

Thats find and all, but many have applauded the lope sided wins and have begun to claim Henry Co. as a top 3A team for those reasons.....

North Central Kentucky Conference. I can't name them all, some only compete in basketball and other sports. Super B would be a better source since he's covered so many games.

The NCKC consists of Henry, Carroll, Owen, Trimble and Eminence (hope I didn't leave anyone out). Tall Trees, I didn't see any gatorade flying last night.

Not that I am in the know, but isn't Gallatin and Walton in there, or am I off on that one? I think what makes this conference tough is that not all the teams get to play each other. I know there was some talk in the spring about trying to do some sort of NCKC bowl...that would have been interesting. I think for the most part in most years this conference is very competitive REGARDLESS OF CLASS (in basketball, someone mentioned HC's enrollment is SMALL enough to participate in the ALL A). I think it's great for area sports and rivalries. I do want it known that personally I don't dislike any team in the conference and root for them on Friday nights. I just hate to see a bunch of kids and coaches who work as hard as any other have their name run in the ground for no good reason-nobody deserves that regardless of our passion for "our" team. That doesn't exemplify what we are trying to teach our kids about being good sports-win or lose. Fans get excited when their team wins, and they should. But to throw words around like classless is just uncalled for. I don't think any team in this conference lacks class and for the most part they are rivalries on the feild and court, but done so with class off of the playing surface. I wish all the NCKC teams well as they go on and hope that all the "fans" can learn to respect the kids, coaches, etc...that work hard to put on a good show every Friday night. Good questions. Is somebody taking charge of this (a coach or AD from one of the schools??). I know there used to be an "All NCKC" team. Hadn't seen it done in a while. Would be good for that to happen again and help promote the conference in football, Lord knows it gets plenty of pub in basketball.
