Conner will have their work cut out for them to get ready to go Thursday night versus Ryle at Ryle...almost a must win now for the Cougars!

Unless there's been a change (and I don't think there has), the game is to be played at Conner. Kind of a shame the scheduling didn't work out for this game to be played at Ryle's new field.

:lol: Wow. Can't say that's ever been said about me. Certainly not the "as usual" part. But I like the way you think (except for the part about "good luck to the Cougars").

 

Should make for a very entertaining evening this coming Thursday and a great opportunity for both teams to be seen by a large audience.

In all fairness to Dixie West didn't go down til the 4th quarter if I recall correctly. It was a 30-28 game when he went out though. Conner beat themselves they had 2 touchdowns called back due to penalties. One was a very long td pass from west to #6. That's the play west got hurt I didn't see how he got hurt, but he couldn't put any pressure on his left ankle from what I remember seeing. Its a shame to see a star player on any team to go down like that. Good luck to Conner the rest of the season. My wishes go out to west and his family.

BCF pretty much got that right. When West went down it was something like 3rd and 40, then a safety, 32-28. Conner was pretty much done at this point. I don't know how many yards they had in penalties total, but the plays that were called back probably totalled a couple hundred yards.

A lot of posts last week complaining about Conner's offense, but they seem to score enough points to win - unless your defense is giving up 30-40 points a game. I believe Conner's defense has given up 19, 28, 38, and now 46 points in their last 4 games. Definitely not going in the right direction . . .

Conner played a tough game, I believe they would have pulled a win here with West, He is a very strong QB.

Penalties plagued the Couars friday night. Having 2 long touchdowns called back due to holding calls. And when Nick West was injured it looked like the heart was ripped out of the team. It is never a good situation to put a sophomore QB in down 11 points in the fourth quarter. Hopefully the Cougars tie up all the loose ends and get back to how they looked in the first two games. They face Ryle next thursday in a must win situatuon

Why a must win against Ryle? If Boone beats SK its automatic for Conner in the playoffs, lousy seed, but an automatic(No district wins for SK except Cooper. Am I wrong about this? If Boone wins, this gives Conner a couple extra weeks to recoup.

Not correct. If SK loses to Boone but beats Campbell, then SK is 2-3 in the district. If Conner loses to Ryle, they end up at 2-3 in the district. Campbell is currently 2-2 in the district and would be 2-3 if they lose to SK at SK. So, a 3-way tie is possible.

Correct, a three way tie will come down to a tie breaker. Hopefully it won't come down to that but it could come to fruition.
