September 30, 200818 yr The wife and I are wanting to go to New York in Dec. I got on priceline, and found 2 tickets, round trip for $378. Is this a really good deal, or can we find some lower?
October 1, 200818 yr Author It was the cheapest tickets in the area, probably Dayton. Honestly I don't remember.
October 1, 200818 yr You may wanna try out of Indianapolis. We are flying to Orlando Saturday @ $197.00 a person. We are using Airtran (http://www.airtran.com) they seem to fairly reasonable.
October 1, 200818 yr Airtran is a great airline. My cousin is a captain for them. However, remember that you need to park your car at an out of town lot, the fees can add up. Some charge up to $9 a day to park a car. Plus it's a hassle. $378 is a little high, but I have heard prices will be going up a great deal by the end of the year. It may be a gamble if you wait.

October 1, 200818 yr Author $378 is a good deal for two tickets round trip. That's what I thought. That's only $189 per.
October 1, 200818 yr How flexible are you in your scheduling? Delta has weekly deals on fares, but there are some restrictions. You have to leave on a Saturday & return on either a Monday or Tuesday. I know they have a flight for $59 one-way to Chicago. That's a pretty good deal. I expect ticket prices to decrease dramatically over the next few weeks, maybe even days.
October 1, 200818 yr My step dad & 4 year old nephew are going to Arizona in a week or two & the round trip cost 'em $600 and that was from Priceline.

October 1, 200818 yr That's what I thought. That's only $189 per. Certainly a good deal, unless there's a huge layover. Direct flight, it's a no-brainer. A short layover, and it's still a really nice deal. Have fun.
