Game 163 Thoughts

You and I, just have different tastes and nothing wrong, with liking your team. His HR call, will put a smile on your face, even if you're rooting for the other team.

I can enjoy a game, regardless of the announcers.

As many times as I saw the grand slam highlight, it was made even more enjoyable by Hawk's call. Yes, he is a homer, but he is really enjoyable to listen to. Well, I'm a Sox fan, so I'm probably bias.

This game is OVAH! :ylsuper:

The atmosphere is great. I think this game should be played, it's the best way to decide who plays in October and who goes home for the winter.

Actually, it ticks me off ... Harrelson is the most obnoxious play-by-play guy in the business.

Very good game and certainly worthy of the extra contest, so far.

In the words of "HawK'...."You can put it on the board, YESSSSSS".

It occurs to me that if Tampa and Boston had tied with the best AL record at say, 104-58, the team that won the season series would be declared the division champ and the other would be the wild card. No game 163 to determine that, but there is one to determine a division champ if the loser won't be the wild card.

Dones't really matter to me one way or the other, I just thought it was interesting food for thought.

I love when they play him saying that on ESPN:lol: It never gets old.

Can Jenks get the job done?

Great game, BTW. Griffey made an excellent throwout to preserve the shutout a few innings back, and AJ was able to hold on when Cuddeyer (how the heck do you spell his name anyway???) tried to tag up.

Thome's mammoth solo blast has been the difference, and Jenks is trying to nail down the shutout.

Can Jenks get the job done?

Looks like he can :thumb:

I hope Griffey, gets a chance at it all now.
