Dow Jones largest drop ever

Featured Replies

-733 today for anyone that's concerned. I saw a great explanation of the market on CNN the other night. They compared the market to a rubberband being streched (losing) and then letting it snap forward (gain). Depending on how hard it was streched, the more times it's going to snap forward and backward before it levels out. It's hard to explain but was a great concept.

I guess yesterday and today was backlash. We'll see what happens tomorrow. If the rubberband theory holds true, it'll gain rather greatly. Who knows.

Just one person's opinion, but I think you're way overreacting on this. It's been a big drop, but if people are smart, they won't have touched their money, and it will recoup. The people who are taking it out are not the most savvy investors IMO.

Up 401 points today

So by the way the market has been going lately...Buy tomorrow, sell Saturday ?

I've moved all of my stuff to agressive. I'm only 34 and don't plan on retiring the next 20 years. To me this is the time to buy low. If it doesn't go up over 20 years then it wasn't meant to be for me:)

Down 231 today the roller coaster ride continues.

I'm with you. I'm only 26 and I have had everything allocated in extremly high risk/agressive since I joined the workforce after college. This is quite an opportunity for us younger guys to take advantage of!

Warren Buff said something to the effect of, "Be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy"

Agreed, especially on the bolded. And not only that, when us younger guys inject capital back into the market, it helps out the older guys.

The Free Market works its magic.....

It's been in free fall since 3:30.

:thumb: Already started my Christmas shopping. Don't try to wait for the bottom, nobody can time it except by luck.

Except me. :D

I am still waiting. OK, maybe I am waiting because it has taken Schwab about 2 weeks to process my money transfer from 5th/3rd. :irked:
