October 6, 200817 yr Looks like its going to finish the day down around 300 points. Not nearly as ugly as it could have been. Good day for GLD. I'm confused as to how AUY, a gold company, can continually go down when GLD, gold itself, rises? I keep waiting & waiting & waiting on Yumana, and it keeps going down, & down, & down.
October 6, 200817 yr Yamana Gold's earnings growth is about half what the rest of the industry's growth rate is. But as badly as AUY's price has been beaten down, I think its a decent buy.
October 6, 200817 yr This was a reaction to the overseas reaction to the bail out. Tomorrow will be telling IMO.
October 7, 200817 yr This was a reaction to the overseas reaction to the bail out. Tomorrow will be telling IMO. The overseas reaction wasn't to our bailout. They're having their own problems just like us. The EU is falling apart with each country coming up with their own bailout plans.
October 7, 200817 yr The EU has got to get together and work something out. I thought the whole point of the EU was to keep the individual countries from doing their own things?

I know they are having problems as well but they said when the bail out hit over there it effected their market a lot.
October 7, 200817 yr Dow Jones cloed at -508 today and not looking better anytime soon according to the Fed. http://biz.yahoo.com/cnnm/081007/100708_bernanke_speech.html

October 9, 200817 yr WOW. Buy, sell, buy, sell, buy, buy, sell, funny money funny money poo pa! Buy at 9:35 a.m. Sell at 3:55 p.m.
October 9, 200817 yr Buy at 9:35 a.m. Sell at 3:55 p.m. Kinda what I gathered from looking at MSN's charts.
October 9, 200817 yr Buy at 9:35 a.m. Sell at 3:55 p.m. Reverse that. The market is now in free fall. In the last two hour of trading, the Dow has shed 550 points. Since the beginning of September the Dow has plummeted over 2900 points or 25% of its value. The NASDAQ has fared even worse, down 30% in the same period.

A little concerned ? or not that worried about it ?
October 9, 200817 yr I would say concerned considering my mother has lost a little over 65k this year alone.
