HC is in for a tough game... If they play the way they did vs. NCC then HC will have this one in the bag, they showed a lot of heart on the field on saturday, and never gave up.

I can't help but be curious about something. If HC plays "the way they did against NCC", which was to score 7 points, why would you think they would score 28 points against Ryle's defense, which is every bit equal to NCC?

He must have ment to add mentally prepared then they can win. They had a couple times they could have scored but penalties got in the way. Holy Cross can move the ball with Roenker and Walker. If the Indians come ready to play the game will be close.

Fair enough. Though I would submit that if Ryle comes fully prepared and ready to play (i.e., their offense is again clicking as this past week), the game won't be all that close.

Yes that is what I meant. HC had everything going for them, they were moving the ball, they were playing great defense, but all they needed to do was execute in the Red Zone and stop making dumb mistakes (penalties) in the Red zone. If HC does what they did against NCC, and executes in the Red Zone, then I give them the win.

I agree with Cooperstown, if Ryle doesn't overlook HC they will name the score. Ryle has a fast defense, they are smallish up front but they can really move. If Ryle doesn't win by 3 scores I would be suprised.

Just curious... Do you think that the Ryle offense has just really put things together and they will dominate HC like that, or are you thinking the defense is just too much forcing turnovers and bad field position? That is question is complete curiosity... I'm not disagreeing with you.

I'd say Ryle's defense is every bit as good as NCC's. The difference between Ryle and NCC is that NCC's offense is better and that was what decided the game between them. Or to put another way - Ryle's defense had to face a stronger offense than what NCC's defense did.

I don't see Ryle as that much better on D than NewCath. NewCath moved the ball much easier against Ryle than they did HC, they just had 5 or 6 turnovers. That said, HC's offense is nowhere near NewCath's at full speed. I don't see HC running on Ryle due to their team speed on D, unless HC can pass to set up the run. W/ as athletic as HC's QB is, spreading Ryle out and letting him run a little would help out the ground game tremendously.
