I disagree. I thought Obama was going to cry a couple times. :lol:

Overall I thought the debate was a push until about 3/4s of the way through. Neither used the debate mechanism that allowed them to directly challenge each other until McCain brilliantly exercised it over diplomacy with Iran. After that it seemed McCain got into a bit of a rhythm. Throughout the debate they both over-performed and turned in strong answers, in my opinion. However, I would probably give a slight overall edge to McCain.

 

There weren’t any major gaffes or memorable moments, which is important. It will be interesting to see how the polls turn and see who the voters thought won or whose policies the voters most agreed with. However, polls rarely move much after debates. I think we’ll likely see maybe a one or two percentage point movement for McCain since he’s taken a beating this week and turned in a good performance tonight.

I'll be curious to see the number of viewers for tonite. We are still a big high school football country and I'm guessing many fans passed up the debate.

I guess I expected more poise from him. I honestly have held the opinion of him that he'd be at his best in a debate format...for one reason...his experience. I'm not holding it against him. I just had that "image" of him.

No different than your for McCain or any Republican, RM. I really couldn't care less how much you value my opinion, for someone supposedly undecided you've never really come across that way since day one of these two running.
