I think that we'll roll in this game -vs- Eastern. The X game is looming, and I am not sure we have the horses to match them.

This might be the best Trinity defense of all time. No team will score more than 10 on this defense.

 

Trinity in a blow out against Eastern. Here we go again, "best Trinity defense of all time". Cannot believe someone would say this again. This years D is good, but no where near "all time". Back in the 70's, there was Joe Barrito who was a safety who would clean your clock. Joe would be a middle linebacker on this years team. This years DE's has to hit people from back side or with shoulder to tackle because haven't seen them wrap up. DL is solid, but they should be, they played alot last year. Haven't seen a true interception where the DB is breaking on the pass. Next week will be another test for the Rocks.

I think this game is going to be closer than expected. Eastern is 3-0 and has a some quality skill position players. Classic trap game for Trinity between games against 2 Nationally ranked opponents.

 

Rocks still win easily (25-30 points) but the 50 and 60 point spreads are little too high.

Eastern is averaging 40 ppg and giving up 15 in their wins against South Oldham, Butler and Waggener (61-6). It's an oddball night to be playing and you never know how that might affect young kids.

The Eagles and the Shamrocks have had some heated games (and ancillary antics) going back to the days of Coach Mike McCoy at Eastern. I'm sure they would love nothing more than to whip the 'Rocks. Is Sexton still the principal at Eastern?

Saw a clip on WAVE-3 last night where the Eastern center guaranteed a victory, saying "We will shock the world."

In his defense if they keep it close it will considered a SHOCKER.

Can't blame a kid thinking his team might win, I'd be disappointed if my son thought he lost even before the game started. Think about it, have you ever played against someone/team where you knew you had no chance, but you won?
