Breathitt Co. 41 Boyd Co. 6

Featured Replies

My goodness, what in the heck happened.

I looked online and saw Breathitt was 0-2 coming into this game and I thought Boyd was going to get better as the year went on. I did see the two teams that have beaten Breathitt are now a combined 6-0.

This was a pathetic effort for Boyd. They looked emotionless. Someone on here stated that if you stop Wilson you stop Boyd. They were exactly right.

Breathitt is a very good football teams. Fugate is one of the best backs in the mountains!

No surprise here, just as I predicted. A trip to the woodshed.

I was there and Breathitt didnt really look that impressive and thats coming from a Breathitt fan. If they were playing aginst anyone that was any count they would have been beaten. Breathitt has along time to go if they think they can compete with Russell and Belfry let alone Harlan and Estill in their own district.

Now, now Texas needs all the sandbags they can get. ^

Breathitt is a good team But not as good as past teams. they are young in a lot of key area. But they will make alot of noise. It will take a good team to beat them.

I may be mistaken, but I think from '96 to '02, Breathitt won three state championships. So, the teams of the last few years have been looked at as '"being down." Breathitt is still one of the best teams in 3A and in the mountains.

95,96,2002 No mistaken Breathitt is one of the best team in the mountians. Anybody knows mountian football knows that. Just not as good as everybody thanks they are. I think that they arent as strong in the spot that they are known for PASSING. Great running game.

There you go Bobcats, glad to see get a W, I'm sure it's just a start.

I thought the Bobcats looked better in a couple of areas. First off, both their offensive and defensive line play was much improved. The passing game was also improved. Haddix hit a receiver in stride for like a 60 yd. TD pass and showed some scrambling ability, moving out of the pocket and hitting receivers down field. Are they where they need to be at the end of the season? Probably not but I see improvement each week. Boyd played Russell tough last week so I'm not sure they are "no count".

Congrats to Breathitt on the win. They are obviously the much better team.

It sounded like they ran a QB contain against the entire game, that's the easiest way to win against Boyd.

Unfortunately this is two teams in two different leagues. Boyd was over their head scheduling this one, but you have to commend them for playing better teams, which will only make them better in the Postseason. Much better then scheduling teams of the likes of Bracken County a couple of years ago.

Fugate didn't show me nothing Friday. The Bobcats could have play without him if they had too.
