Nice to see Breathitt Co. get out of the blocks. Pay attention to this team come playoff time - the Bobcats will do some major damage before it's over.

I knew the Bobcats would score fast and often, but I didn't think Boyd County's offense would be completely denied like that. Congrats to the Bobcats on the convincing win.

Breathitt finally played with a liitle heart and emotion. I thought they played with very little energy up to this point. I definatley think the talent is there. Question is, will they be able to get it out of these youngsters? The passing game is still struggeling with all the young inexperienced receivers and new QB. I do think that they are slowly learning their routes and as the season goes along you will see this group step up and help out Haddix. Good win, now bring on District play.

Boyd played terrible thats all there is too it they are a good team but they arent playing like it they choke when it counts but are very capable...and anyone at the game should have noticed that Boyd played much better in the second half not good but much better especially their defense because there were no touchdowns scored in the second half on Boyds VARSITY defense they were all scored on their jv with Breathitts varsity...shows how much class Holcomb has.

Are you serious. I don't think anyone that has followed Breathitt over the last 10-15 years will ever question Holcombs class. I watched the whole game and Boyd had the same players in for the whole game. Why don't you show a little class and give credit where it is due. These young kids are practicing hard everyday to try and live up to the tradition and expectations that Breathitt County football has come to expect every year. Good luck to Boyd on the rest of their upcoming season.:thumb:

What are you talking about? Boyds VARSTIY played most of the game. Lets see, Breathitt scored how many touchdowns in the first half and had a chance to score even more if not for some fumbles. Holcomb lifted his foot off the gas in the second half. Im sure the score would have been alot worse if he hasnt. That shows how much class he has! Were you at the game cause we must not have been watching the same one.:fire:

The score was 28-6 at the half. Now why would Boyd have their J.V. in the game in the first half? Obviously they didn't. Boyd just ran into a buzzsaw plain and simple. I didn't see any J.V. players in the game in the first half or even early in the second for Boyd, but I do know Breathitt substituted liberally in the second half or it would have been worse, and I'm a Boyd County fan.

Breathitts QB is new this year. He doesnt have that much experience and needs all of it he can get in time for the playoffs. I can understand why if that was the deal.

Like I said wasn't there don't know the story, when I turned on the radio I thought that it was odd. Up 4 scores, I would have guessed that the second string would be in with 2 or 3 minutes left in the game. I'm not from either school, just curious is all.
