Camels better find a long snapper!

The Defense really stepped it up tonight only allowing 1 first down in the first half. Even though the second half was a little slugish, they still finished strong Congrats Boone!!!

Really surprized at this final, especially at Campbell's house? I thought the Camels "O" was going to be a strength this year--Is Boone's "D" that strong or were turnovers involved? Looks like 6-A dominence in NKY still runs through Boone County??

Boone is very solid which in turns makes Mason a solid 3A contender.

 

The loss by Campbell makes next week against Ryle a near must win.

Boone was the best in 6A NKY last year, Ryle was in 2006. One of those two teams will win it this year. Conner will have a say in the matter but I do not see them going to Boone and winning next week.

The Camels offense did not show up in the first half only getting one first down. Missed blocks and penalties were a big problem. The O looked better in the second half. 14 of Boone's points were direct results of bad snaps on punts. One bounced half way to the punter and the second went over his head. These led to two 2 Boone TD's giving them the ball on the Camel 10 & 20.

 

The Camels D did a pretty good job containing the Boone running game. As for passing D, Boone WR #22 was consistently open and made some good catches.

 

Without the 2 easy TD's from bad snaps, this game was closer than the score shows.

I thought that Boone might have lost too much last year, but I guess not. Looks like the 6A crown will come from Boone County this year. Either Boone or Ryle or Conner.

Boone threw an interception a couple plays later Campbell threw one right back. That was the end of the turnovers til less than 2 minutes to go in the game when Boone caused a fumble. Boone went on to score a td.

I would count the bad snaps as turnovers, and they killed the Camels.

Both defenses looked great last night, I agree. But turnovers were a huge issue for the Camels. I hope they get it together in practice this week, as they are a MUCH better team than they've played thus far this year.
