Agreed. But looking at it independently, I think Obama lacks the preferred experience but has enough to suffice while Palin imo has no business being a candidate for VP.

 

 

I don't think Palin has the experience to be president, but god willing, if McCain is elected, we won't have to find out. I think after 4 years as VP, Palin could make an interesting candidate for the POTUS though.

Palin defeated an extremely experience governor who had lenghty experience in both Washington and Juneau. Palin ran on a reform platform and her job approval rating if over 80 percent.

 

The combined experience in the US Senate is well over 1.000 years. Yet, the US Senate has, along with the House, failed to:

 

1) pass an energy bill that makes any sense at all,

 

2) provide effective oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, or

 

3) secure our southern border against the invasion of an estimated 12 million illegal aliens.

 

Washington insider experience is a problem not a solution.

Obama has very little time in the US Senate and he has zero executive experience. Palin has no US Senate experience but she has solid executive experience. The US presidency is an executive position. I would be more comfortable with McCain in the White House on day one while Palin gains additional experience as VP but I would be much more comfortable with Palin in the White House on day one than Obama.

1 1/2 years of running a state compared to 8 1/2 years of legislative experience and an understanding of how things work in Washington. Pretty easy for me really.

 

1 1/2 vs 2 1/2 of real experience, most of which time he was running for president. You have to ignore his state senate experience if you're talking about understanding how things work in Washington. Just as Palins mayoral duties must be ignored if we're talking real executive experience. I'm not comforted in either case.

This one gets me everytime. Dems want to use this against her for her lack of experience but yet Obama is no more experience and they think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don't think the Dems really cared to put Biden in office but he will also be a heartbeat away. Pelosi is two heartbeats away. You guys act like 72 equals one foot in the grave.

I've recognized his lack of preferred experience but she basically has as close to none as one can have imo.
