Trinity 27 Cincy St. X 6 (JV)

Featured Replies

Nice win for the JV squad.

Per Rocktopper's post

"Trinity dominated this game on the offensive side of the ball! Kragthorpe looked great running the offense. Darin Nix was catching and running all over the field. They are truly the future for Rocks football. Cincy St. X had some huge kids! It seemed they couldn't make the big plays when they needed too. Good luck to all the kids who played and I look forward to seeing the Cincy St. X varsity in two weeks... GO ROCKS! #19"

Congratulations on your big win. :thumb:

It is truly amazing how one of the worst freshman teams in the past couple of decades at Trinity has blossomed in one short year into a world beater. I do realize that you are playing A LOT of juniors on this JV squad, but even your JV team wasn't that strong last year. To what to you attribute this vast improvement.......hard work, super coaching, parental support, prayers, something in the water?

Is Darin Nix related to Blake Nix?

Actually it's Darick Nix and no.

Congratulations on your big win. :thumb:

Prayer.

Yes someone else just corrected me on this too.:laugh::laugh:

Sorry I had one of those moments! :D

The Trinity offense is very complicated. Because of that, young guys can sometimes look pretty bad. After they catch on to the offense things get a whole lot better. Also, success at the freshman level is very much based on talent. In later years work and coaching become much more important.

And some good old fashioned luck, squeezed out of a plethora of 4-leaf clovers.

If you hadn't noticed, Rockmom, I didn't even bring up the box of Lucky Charms, since that was a given.

Well, it's still an integral part of the program. Maybe you should investigate having Lucky Charms added to the school menu. :D

Silly Mom...everyone knows that Tigers are carnivors.

In all seriousness, I would like to hear more comments about what has brought about this miraculous transformation.

It's no secret. Hard work in the off season.

And Coaching...............and the character of the kids...........etc...

Don't know what you define as a "miraclous transformation". Guess you may call it what you wish. That does not make it so. Others have better explained the purpose and methodology of the Frosh. football program.
