Cobb is still unproven and a freshman, we need to give Hartline a chance.

Hartline is unproven as well. They both should be given a chance.

I think Cobb will continue to play both QB and Wide Receiver as I think either Morgan Newton or the kid from Texas will play quarterback next year with Cobb as his number one target.

Don't be surprised in the Texas QB doesn't come to UK.

Many people think Cobb should be the starting QB the rest of this year, and i agree, but where do you think he projects in the future? UK has two highly touted quarter back prospects coming in next year, and Cobb has proved himself a dangerous receiver, and was projected as a DB out of high school if I'm not mistaken.

Right now I'm just worried about this year. Everyone is too worried about the distant future. Let's just try have a great year this year and we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

Just get the kid on the field.....

Something I see with Hartline, Is, He throws it out of bounds more then he does down field.

Amen to both statements!

He is just following the directions of his position coach.

While throwing the ball away or out-of-bounds looks stupid to most fans, it is the percentage play in UK's current offensive philosophy.

Have you seen him throw it down field:creepy:...there is a reason he throws it out of bounds.

He paniced and threw it out of bounds a few times during the Norfolk St. game when a big DL got close to him. For goodness sakes, buy some time with your feet!

We have gone from polar opposites from a QB last year who wouldn't get rid of the ball to one this year who launches it in the stands whenever a 300 pound lineman gets within six feet of him.

The fact of the matter is, he is evidently not capable of buying time with his feet!

You are right about Andre Woodson and Mike Hartline being total opposites when it comes to getting rid of the ball. As far as getting rid of the ball to avoid a sake, this year's UK offense can't afford negative yardage because they are not able to convert a first down on second or third and long. Last year's offense could.

Hartline is throwing away the football as per instructions from Randy Sanders and it is the right thing to do if you can not buy time with your mobility.

Again someone please tell me the threat other teams see with Hartline on the field. They know if they get any pressure at all he's going to throw the ball away which is a wasted down. If I were a defensive coach I would find it much easier to prepare for UK with Hartline at QB instead of Cobb. Cobb has confidence in his abilities and while he will make a mistake or two he will also make more plays.

There is no doubt to Cobb's pure athleticisim but we need to give Hartline time.

Cobb better be on the field in some form, and Hartline sucks.

You've made that judgement after 2 starts and no turnovers? Reasonable.

Hartline actually looks better than Woodson did at this stage in his career at UK. Remember that Andre became a great college QB thru coaching and lessons learned on the field.

I do agree that Cobb needs to be on the field. He looked like one of the better WRs on the team and he had never played there before. Just a solid athlete who will make UK a better team by being on the field.

I made my judgement after I watched him struggle to produce any offense playing sub par teams. When Cobb came in as Qb the offense came alive, moved the ball, and scored. If Hartline does not pick up in the earley stages he will be in trouble when it comes to sec play.
