Actually....yes, very much so!

 

Biased towards wanting this team to realize their full potential.

#25 had 3 catches for 100 yards and their only touchdown and only played half the game on offense.

 

What sense does that make?

I thought that I saw the worst defensive performance by a HC team against South Laurel....I WAS WRONG!

 

I just saw the worst overall game I have ever seen a HC team ever play. This team played with no effort, heart, passion & discipline...and the result reflected that.

 

There is obviously no leadership on this team. If HC is to salvage this season, someone has to step up and be a leader on this team. The way it stands right now, this team will not win a game.

 

Yes, I blame the kids for this...but the coaches share some of the blame too. They (coaches) continue to not recognize where the talent is on this team. Right now, without Roenker there is NO running game. Yet Koz continues to try and run the ball repeatedly to no success.

 

Put Markell in a shotgun formation, roll him out to pass the ball and leave the 3 receiver formation in the offense for the whole game...except for goal line. There are 3 great receivers on this team...#'s 1, 8 & 25...LEAVE THEM IN THE GAME!!!! Quit this rotation thing right now! #3 dropped two passes yesterday, one hit him right in the number 3 on his jersey in the end zone. #25 will catch anything that is thrown to him....THROW HIM THE BALL!!!

 

I have a passion for this team to be successful as a team. But this will not happen unless both the kids step up and show some leadership and the coaches step up and recognize where the strengths of this team are and start coaching to those strengths.:mad:

 

Sounds like if HC would just throw the ball to #25 40 times a game they would win easily!

Yep. Totally abandon the run game and throw sixty times a game and see how that works.. wrong. I agree the backs were pretty bad yesterday couldn't hold on to the ball. But you can'y let your emotions get in the way of what the big picture is. The QB's decision making has got to improve, you can't hold on to the ball for ages... The shotgun part I do agree with, IMO HC needs to spread the field out with the speed they have. With rolling receivers in as a rotation; sometimes thats how you have to roll the plays in it's not weather who is in or out... and that goes for alot of teams, thats how you call in the play.

IMO a very poor effort on the Indians part. They came out flat, couldn't hold onto the football, over throwing wide open WR done field. Tell me if i'm wrong.

 

I would like to say your wrong, but you aren't. It's time to pick it up they want to win some games. I will never understand the philosophy of "if it doesn't work, then keep doing it". Because that was the kind of play calling I saw yesterday. It was either a run between the tackles with RB's that without Roenker are obviously suited for the outside or it was a busted pass play where a wide open reciever was either not thrown to or over thrown. And while the defense did play bad, it is very hard to pitch a shutout when the first two drives for holmes started at the 20. And two other scores were off a blocked punt and a horrible decision on an interception to just fling the ball at the last second by Walker. I put this loss squarely on the shoulders of ball security on O and IMO some of the worst play calling I have seen in a while. No excuses, just something to think about.

Spoke to another official that said this is the most disciplined Holmes team he's ever officiated. A big time tribute to the staff AND kids at Holmes. They're buying in...

I'm not shocked by the Holmes win, but the margin is a bit suprising. Apparently Mr. Lickert can coach.
