Oh the possibilities! Eastin does an excellent job running the offense and dumping the ball off on short passes. He makes quick decisions and gets rid of the ball much sooner than Walker. Roenker definitely has the better arm for the deep throws, and the element of surprise coming from the HB position. Let's just hope, as you say, that Walker is OK...but if not, the coaches will utilize this scenario.

The truth is...Beechwood's O & D line dominated HC last night. Plain and simple, no whining about chop blocks & no whining about holding. They are studs...very athletic, intense and passionate about winning...and yes, they have an attitude that says: We are going to kick your butt. All of the championship caliber teams have this! I will say it again...If HC wants to go deep into the playoffs, they must get the same attitude that tems like Beechwood & NCC have. They cannot continue to be intimidated by these teams. Moving forward...Yes, the injury to Walker does not bode well for HC. If he is out for any amount of time they will extremely miss his running threat, not his passing threat. Coaches, this is important: If Walker is out you will have to put Easton in at QB. Any long passes you throw can be thrown by Roenker out of the tailback position. He is an excellent double threat at this position....utilize that double threat frequently. Also, it doesn't hurt to insert Brayson Smith in at tailback for a change of pace. He is an excellent outside runner with speed & moves. He is showing he can do a better job holding on to the ball...use him more!!!

When HC comes out sky high, when the HC line protects & run blocks effectively, when Roenker pounds Beechwood into submission, when Walker unleashes bombs & scrambles all over the field, when Norris-Sullivan-Smith reign in the Walker bombs, when the HC "D" plays with passion and gang tackles, when Ziegler cheers from the sideline....Beechwoood will fall !!!! Must win game for HC and they came through! They actually dominated this game more so than the score reflects. HC played with passion and intensity. As evident by the many near skirmishes that broke out. HC needs this kind of effort here on out for the rest of the season. Be the intimidator, not the intimidated. Game balls...Offense: Hands down...Andy Roenker - a man amongst boys last night....34 for 216 & 4 TD's...'nuff said. Defense: tie...Conrad Easton & Jordan Norris - Easton had at least 15 tackles and was all over the field. Norris played his best game of the year both on defense and special teams, hitting hard and playing with passion. Going forward: Absolutely must eliminate stupid penalties in the red zone. Cannot keep missing opportunities when they are handed to you. Also, not that they needed to pass last night, but they will have to eventually and seven yards passing will not cut it if you have any ambitions of going deep into the playoffs. Line had been protecting Walker well against Ryle & NCC. Protection seemed to break down a bit last night. The line must continue to play at a high level the rest of the year. Overall: Great game last night, enjoy the victory until Monday, continue to play with passion & intensity, GET PHYSICALLY HEALTHY & improve every week. Brad Hungler was the best WR HC has had. Can't argue that. Just remember, the entire offensive core of this team is for the most part...Juniors! They are putting up some decent numbers so far this year (13 TD's in 3 games). I would imagine that when it's all said and done, that this group will be re-writing some of the HC record book.

Let me be the first person to agree with this statement. I applaud all of the HC coaches for their hard work and dedication to the youth development as student athletes from the middle school program on up. Coach Koz is the cornerstone of this development and should be recognized as such. As for the offensive philosophy, just look at the numbers this year as compared to last. Walker is on pace to at least double all of Reardon's numbers from last year. So, they have opened up their offense from a passing standpoint. Again, thanks to all HC coaches for all your hard work.

Yessss!!! Great debate on Simpson-Roenker! Now that is the kind of stuff these threads are all about. They are both special backs. Now let's get a debate going on HC WR's vs NCC WR's and HC QB vs NCC QB. There's no debating HC secondary vs NCC secondary...HC wins this, hands down. Overall defense...NCC's team intensity give them the edge. What do you think?

I was referring to myself when I said "enough trashing", no one else. I will only post positive comments from here on out. Back to the game...I just hope it is a good, competitive game with no injuries. HC does seem to play NCC tough. I hope that is the case Saturday. Thanks & good luck to all

Yeah, they held Simpson to almost nothing too. But Simpson is not near the punishing runner that Roenker is. He will wear them down and break their spirit. Then BOOM, the hammer will drop with bombs from Walker to the WR's. Yes, it's turn out the lights for NCC baby!!

Alright, enough trashing. I want to change my prediction. Yeah, NCC has seen the likes of Van Sant, Deters & Ryle...but they haven't seen the likes of Walker, Norris & Roenker. They also haven't seen the surprises that coach Koz has in store for them. Holy Cross will shock the world! HC 42 NCC 28

If the HC coaches have done their homework on this game, they should know that one of the only weaknesses NCC has is it's secondary. Will they exploit this? That is the $64,000 question. I seriously doubt it. It all depends if Roenker is back at the TB position or not. If he is back at full strength, then it's ground attack all the way. Actually, even if he's not back it will probably be ground attack all the way. So go ahead NCC, load up the box with 8 players and dare coach Koz to pass the ball....it is my bet he doesn't. Gotta love the "Old Lefthander", never a harsh word to say about anyone. Maybe we could all learn a lesson or two from him. OR NOT....come on Koz, go with the shotgun, go with the spread, be imaginative!!!

Excellent point...that is just one of the many options this team could do. They have alot of offensive talent, yet the coaching staff refuses to fully utilize it. You could have a QB rotation...you could go out of the spread formation with 3 WR's...you could still go out of the power formation. Mix it up...keep the defense off balance. All defenses have to do now is load the line of scrimmage to stop the run. They know what is coming.
