Great job last night!

Central is big and and pretty physical. Had they taken care of the ball this could have been a much closer contest. They had no awnser for Fritts and Watkins, busted off big runs over and over. Congrats Corbin on defeating a up and coming 4A school. The future at KC is bright, as Coach Mills is making strides with developing his team, at least as I see it.

Last nights game was a great game between two hard hitting well coached teams. Over all I thought KC looked good. Had it not been for a few key plays this would have been a close game. The hounds took care of the ball and just kept pounding it in there. They won this game with solid defense and capitalizing on KC's mistakes. For this being only the second game of the season, I thought both teams looked pretty darn good on both sides of the ball.

 

Great win for the Hounds and a solid effort from KC !!! Good luck to KC against Bell and lets keep those wins coming for the Hounds !!! :dancingpa

This game was pretty even for the most part with the exception of special teams and turnovers. Corbin had the big TD on the opening kickoff by Matthew Taylor and Campbell's kickoffs and punts, along with the coverage made Knox Central have to sustain long drives most of the night.

 

I thought that Carnes and Smith both played well offensively for the Panthers as did Watkins, Campbell, Fritts & Freeman for the Hounds.

 

Any idea how severe the injuries to Fritts and Foley were?

This game was scheduled for the 6th on Corbin's schedule but the date was changed to the 5th a while back.

I would have liked to have gone to this game, The Varsity Club does a great job putting it together.

 

I was forced to listen to it, well at least I tried, the Corbin radio crew talked about alot of stuff, most of which did not pertain to the game. It was very frustrating to try and keep up with the game.

I thought KC would have played Corbin better than this. Really suprised that Corbin beat KC this bad.

I thought KC had turned the corner with their football program as well. Guess they are still a few years away from being able to compete with the better teams in the region. As it stands now, Bell seems to be the top program with Corbin and a few others following on their heels.

They can be very entertaining, but they tend to wander all over the place with their discussions on air.:lol:

 

I had some doubts about the Hounds before the season started, but I am now a believer. They are tough.

Very disappointing loss for KC. Seems they have high hopes every year that crap out pretty quickly. Good win for the hounds looks like they will be around late into November.

KC should do much better in district. Looked good last week, hit a bump this week. Rough game with Bell coming up, then it eases up just a little.

Hard to overcome years of not putting much effort into football. KC has long been more interested in the hardwood sport than the gridiron.
