I agree Bubba. It seems that Coach Mills has got some good things going but it is not transfering to wins on the field?

But they are getting wins.

Not the big Bell County win, but they are competitive now, are winning a lot more than they used to and are a threat if you are not ready for them.

It's going to take some more time, but they are looking better now than the last couple of decades. Earl Cole was the last Coach to win anything like they are now. I'd say that the KC faithful are very happy where they are now compared to before Wayne showed up.

I think KC is about two years away from their peak. The two Canady boys will be very good. One is in the 8th grade and the other is a Sophomore. The Diamond boy is a big kid with some skills and he can move, he is only a 9th grader as well. If they will be patient, Coach Mills will produce a winner year in and year out.

They have come a long ways since Mills has been coaching and they should have a good season this year...........need to clean a few things up to get over the hump.

There is the difference. Corbin takes care of the little things, the fundementals of special teams and ball security, KC does not.

I thought 3Wishes was being a bit premature by predicting a sure win for KC. That is why I asked him if he had seen them play this season. KC is still a few years away. Once they take care of the little things and correct a few issues they will start winning at a higher level.

Hard to overcome years of not putting much effort into football. KC has long been more interested in the hardwood sport than the gridiron.

Apparently you are missing the point. To be a 3 seed, they are WINNING. They had trouble doing that before, now they are getting very competitive. A lot of teams would not beat Bell this year. Even the big schools like SL and Whitley.

Bubba was referring to years past. KC football ranks up with or maybe even ahead of basketball. AD, by the way, is the track coach. I think anyone who has actually watched them play will agree they have a very competitive team right now. It is taking longer than I expected to get what I call "football instincts" to sink in. That comes when kids play football as their primary sport thoughout their careers.

 

It's coming, folks. This is a dangerous team right now.

That's what I was getting at. Knox Cent. has a hard time beating a school that most in the area would have trouble beating once, but they play them every year.

Like others had said costly mistakes cost KC big time, they may not have won but they have come a long way in 6 years. KC is being talked about now in regards to bigger teams. I thought it would be closer with a KC win by a slight margin, but the mistakes must have cost them more than I thought they would.
