Sorry to threadjack, but, is anyone going to start a Highlands/Holmes thread? It's time to move on to this week's opponent.

Looks like you joined the same time I did. So much for a seasoned opinion. What needs to be said is there are plenty of boys at Highlands to carry the ball. Why beat up your quarterback. Check the game tape with 7:30 left in the 3rd qtr. That drive was going to the endzone till they started running TG. Thats drive shows how Highlands could beat a team like Colrain.

So you know more about Highlands talent and players abilities than Dale does? Interesting. If Dale thought there were plenty of boys at Highlands capable of running the ball against Colerain, they'd have been in the game. Plus, Tony picked up good yards against Colerain. The qb keep worked very, very well because of Colerain's defensive style which is very aggressive. By using the qb as a runner, it enabled Highlands to use another wide out to help spread out the Colerain defense. Go with a 2 back set (which we tried and didn't work out to well) enabled Colerain to have another defender in the middle of the field. Tony isn't exactly some frail little thing either. He's probably 6'1 195 pounds. He can take hits well and with Conner out (and Head playing defense) was our most powerful runner on the field.

I would like to see Head get a few more touches on O. Is that right, 44 carries for TG. Wow!

Been on here WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY longer than my numbers show. I am fine with your opinion. It sounds though that your problem is not with me at all but with the coaching staff at HHS. If you feel that you can do better than the job that Dale has done, by all means step up and show us the way to the promise land. I think that team did the best that they could out there. Every player and coach left it all on that field. I am sorry if it's not how you wrote it, but I was very satisfied with the effort. As for Mr. Guidugli's effort, that kid is nothing but GUTS! He left every ounce of what he had out there. He got flipped with a few minutes to go, couldn't even stand up, and still stayed out there and ran the offense. He is all heart and I have so much respect for him. That's one thing I will say about big Dave Guidugli, he sure can grow some boys with heart!

Might be doable against Holmes. He needed all his energy to play Defense against Colerain.

True.

Did we run 82 offensive plays? That seems like alot? Any comparable numbers?
