Top 10 Players in the 9th

Recommended Posts

Kowolonek will be in the Top 10 somewhere. Also Tate Nichols from Ryle. What about Derek Bryan of Villa?

Here is my attempt.

1. Rico Johnson

2. Elijah Pittman

3. Steven McFarland

4. Shina Giwa

5. Brandon Housley

6. Stephen Kowolonek

7. Mitch Shover

8.Tate Nichols

9. Derek Bryan

10. Brian Romes

McFarland is not the third best player in the region. I'd take Housley, Giwa, and Shover over him any day.

Well its Blake Bryan, and I wouldn't say top 10 because of how bad his team is. Is Tate even playing basketball? I know he quit last season, and I wouldn't put Mcfarland that high. Also where is Jerimaih(sp) Johnson?

It's amazing to me that Holme's starting 5 are all somewhere in the top 10 players in the region. Id have to say I think the 9th is very down this year outside of Holmes. I dont see CovCath being very good, although Shover is very talented. Holy Cross lost alot from last year (Sorell). And then Highlands and NewCath are both very inexperienced, and will need some time before they can really be something.

As far as Nichols goes at Ryle, didnt he play with the Shining Stars this past summer. I thought I saw he was on that team that won the STate Championship.

He played on the Shining Star Sports-McFarland team this past summer. They were the 16u State Champions.

Tate had to deal with a foot injury for a part of the summer but when he was playing he was tough to deal with. He is a big, big boy. He may be the biggest and strongest player in the ninth region.

I know that he is being recruited pretty heavy for football. I also believe that he could earn a scholorship for basketball if it was his focus.

I can't say enough about Tate. Great student, great player, great kid!!

I really like Shina Giwa but he is going to stuggle this year. Not to much talent around him. He is going to have to try to do way to much. Good player on a below average team.
