I decided to post this score since it should interest Highlands posters, Cov. Cath posters, and others.

Colerain defeated St. Xavier by a score of 13-8.

Colerain was leading 13-3 with about eight minutes left in the game when St. X picked up a field goal to make it a one score game. Minutes later, Colerain fumbled near their own 20. St. Xavier could do nothing with it; but did pick up a late safety to end the scoring.

Wow! Huge win for the cards.

Sounds like the Birds are in trouble and the Rocks could be a favorite in a few weeks.

Was the the start of the season or a scrimmage?

Regular season.

What a game to start the regular season in Ohio!

Also, it is really too bad the large public schools in KY refuse to take their program to the level of a school like Colerain.

What is stopping them? What did Colerain do that others in NKY have not?

Not just NKY, all of KY.

Football at Colerain is a huge priority and they put a great amount of effort into the program. However, they do have a lot of talent at Colerain but so do many large public schools in KY.

However, their other programs are not very strong considering the size of the school. Football is the ONLY sport at Colerain.

It also should be mentioned that St. X was without their starting QB and top offensive lineman. The two QBs that St. X used in this game were not very successfull.

Massa was out?

Massa was out?

Yep. Two seniors filled in at the QB spot.

Is Colerain still running the option?

Tyler Williams for Colerain is FAST. Can't wait to see him in Red and Black in a few years...
