Yes, I am the one who made that comment, but that was if Greer pitched. And what does this have to do with football? I'm the same one that grew up in the era of the Bengals and the Big Red Machine and to make comments that I know nothing about football or baseball is ridiculous. I played against the likes of Moller, Princeton, and went to high school with a hall-of-famer; Cris Carter. I have personally talked to Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, and Joe Morgan. I remember a few years back Bell wanted to scrimmage Moller, what a joke. You guys would have been crushed. They are true power-house teams. Just wait until some of the inner-city enrollment schools, like yourself, get a taste of your own medicine. Weren't you guys moaning and groaning just last year when Lexington Catholic came to town. The same group of these kids from Middlesboro had defeated Bell Co. in the regular season game, then beat us in a championship. So to say that we have no chance, I guess you guys are just superior over everybody.

 

This seems to be getting a little out of hand. I have no comments on any of this..just, name dropping doesn't mean that you know what your talking about when it comes to Bell-Middlesboro, I've stated this before, personally, I'd love to see these two hook up, and see how Bell would handle an athlete like Adams, but I don't think Middlesboro really wants any of Bell Co. at this point. Also, I don't remember any "moaning" or "groaning" about Lex. Cath..please elaborate? I know the fact that they had more seniors, then we had players was a cause for concern for us, but I remember the Bell Co. and Lexington Catholic game, and comments on BGP about the game, as being respectful, and no hard feelings from either side, At least that's how things were from my perspective.:thumb:

It appears that he is referring to the EIGHTH GRADE GAME IN 2004!!! Middlesboro beat this year's seniors 12-8..I believe in the first game. Greer was hurt and did not play! Bell did win the championship game that year....the one that really mattered....by about FOUR touchdowns. GOOD GRIEF!! That was middle school. Dudley Hilton had not had these boys for one snap! It is laughable to compare middleschool football with this team! I would say that only about 40% of that group is even on the field today. This is not the same team! Sure any team has a chance....if you want to make that comparison.....in any given game. The team could all have the flu at game time; bus break down...they forfeit..; Coach Hilton forget that we had a game that week.....etc.!! AAHH!! Don't worry, the Bobcats will show for every contest. Let the regular season begin!

Yes he played but didn't do to well. He looked great on kickoff's but missed a extra point and a field goal. I was told after the game that he injured his foot. Does anyone know anything about this? I hope everything is all right with the kid.

I found out that Matt Simpson, the holder is out with injury. Had new snapper. Snapper and holder were struggling on extra point and FG. I think he sprained ankle on FG attempt. Don't think it is too serious. He's never missed a start in four years. One year, I remember he did not kick off due to knee sprain....but kicked extra points left-footed that night! May not be at 100% Friday night, but I bet he'll play!

Getting Simpson back will give the defense a nice shot in the arm as well. And will add a little more depth at fullback as well where he has played some in the past.

What does Pete Rose and Chris Carter have to do with anything? In Bell Co. over the years Middlesboro has a pretty good record against Bell in middleschool. But since the late 80s Middlesboro only beat Bell Co. 1 time in football. It has been a long time, I believe 99 since Bell and Middlesboro even had a competitive game. Its not like Middlesboro has gotten much better in the past couple years and Bell Co. hasnt gotten worse.

Unless Ol Pete and Chris are suiting up for M'boro they have nothing to do with this.

 

I also doubt Pete could get any of the games fixed as well and he for sure would not bet on M'boro.

I was on the JC side lines for Fridays Scr, and yes the First team was off the field... A couple even took their pads off.

 

But guys its just preseason no reason to argue..

I have not criticized any other smaller school besides Middlesboro. All I have said is they aren't on the same level with Bell Co. and in doing that disagreed with you.

Bell's starters are NOT all hold-backs, thank you. Check your facts before making that kind of statement. In fact, most ARE NOT!!! We have not said that they are no competition. Bell would gladly play Middlesboro and Corbin. Last Corbin-Bell game went down to last-second field goal. Both teams were even better last year. QBs Cashen and Nelson had played together or against each other since grade school. They were denied a great game their senior year by Corbin refusing to play Bell. That's a shame for the kids sake.

What does hold back have to do with anything. What grade are they in? I believe that is all that matters isn't it.
